My 2015 NC 750 X DCT did 186 on speedo once. It is restricted to 48hp/35kw. 6th gear is only overdrive though. 5th hits the rev limiter at 174 and in 6th it usually doesn't have enough power to go much faster. 0-100 is very good though. Did multiple runs with a gps app. Test track has a slight slope so did 3 runs downhill, 3 runs uphill and took the average. Used manual mode, squeezed each gear as much as possible, layed flat on the tank. 0-100 is basically 5 secs flat. Around 4.7 down and 5.4 uphill. 1/4 mile ranged from 13.7 to 14.3, so 14 secs. This matches perfectly what an unrestricted 750 does. At 90kg I am probably lighter than the average NC rider though and most won't use manual mode and lay flat😅. After 130 the times are slightly worse than the 55hp version which I expected. Low down power is the same after all, only top end is different. Very impressed with it considering the 230kg weight and only 48hp. My 2019 Svartpilen 401 with 42hp and 166kg weight was like almost a sec slower 0-100 and only managed 172kph. I lost 30kg since then though😂

@@rickybobbydastar6534 Absolutely. The DCT is awesome. If you are used to a scooter, the DCT is even better and it has quite a bit of power. It is very heavy but you don't feel it when riding. When pushing it around be careful though, if it tips to the other side you can't really hold it.

This is video is what I need. Thanks for making it. Over in the US, the freeway speeds are posted at 80MPH and the actual traffic flow is more often 85 MPH (137 KPH). So, I want a bike that can travel safely at those speeds. Did you feel a lot of vibrations when you were above 125 KPH ? How was the wind buffeting?
@glackandbold72703 жыл бұрын
I rented an NC750X in Ireland in 2018. It had Givi hard luggage, and that probably robbed a little speed. It was most comfortable at an indicated 130 kph (probably 125 kph actual; figure high 70s). For a while on the motorway I rode at 140, but it didn't really like it-- almost no throttle response at that speed. Bottom line: it's marginal at US interstate speed. I wouldn't go there.
@glackandbold72703 жыл бұрын
As for wind buffeting, I thought it was OK. No real issues. The bike is boring to ride, but it is really good on gas, and would probably run forever. As a pure commuter, it's great, but not at higher interstate speeds. On 60-65 mph 2 lanes and suburban riding, it would be ideal.

@@josiahgarrison647 I frankly highly doubt an NC can hit that speed on flat ground without a stiff tailwind. It might be geared to hit that speed, but it just doesn't have the horsepower to get there. I don't think an NC makes much more than 50 or 60 hp, tops. That's a 105-110 mph bike on a good day.

im in the marker for a new motorcycle... am stuck between the Versys 650, Tracer 700 and the NC750x. ANy thoughts?
@DerpEye3 жыл бұрын
Consider Vstrom650, it's the most balanced one. If you can, try the Honda though. The Tracer is the most sporty, very similar to the mt07, and the less comfortable. The Versys is ugly in my opinion, and is getting old at this point, but it's still an overall good bike, very neurtral riding and engine. Vstrom has 19" wheel in the front, and an awsome engine, and is the most comfortable of the bunch. Honda has the best fuel economy and luggage capacity, get it with the DCT, otherwise it's not worth it.

That's because this is a commuter bike. Honda purposely detuned the engine for high mileage and fuel consumption. Its the top selling motorcycle in europe. It literally has a built in trunk. And some are automatic. If they wanted a race bike they would have built it. They did built the championship bike Marquez won in motogp.
@F-bot3 жыл бұрын
Its still 0 to 100km/h in 4 seconds, you will never need more power than that. The top speed is fine since most countries have a 120km/h speed limit. If you want to tour Germany just rent a hypermotard there while on vacation. Even hypermotard riders spend 99% of the time under 120km/h
