Thank you so much for your well-recorded and easy-to-follow videos! My husband and I both have 2010 Honda Elite 110's and are nearing 600 miles on each of them. We want to do our first oil changes ourselves. Thanks to this video, we now aren't afraid to tackle it.

Just done mine myself. Really easy, make sure you do it yourself and dont pay someone else. Also done spark plug and air filter too, kinda easy. Got confident and done my drivebelt too, that is tricky but doable

Good video. I use a 591 ml coke bottle on my metro, and that puts the level to the top always. The elite holds a little more oil so the bottle wouldn't help. Wow you oil was black. Mine is usually still caramel color.

No need to, engine and transmission is seperate. Honda recommends a 10w-30

Also don't wait so long to change oil, you'll shorten the life of the motor that way. I expect my scoot to get 50k miles, but with your oil change interval you'll be lucky if you can get half that. I do it every 1k miles because this scoot has no oil filter and only holds about 0.7-0.8 liters of oil. Honda says to change oil every 5k miles.

+farmoboy83 the oil weigth is only a recommendation it depends on climate...Since I change my oil every 1,000 miles I currently use 0w-20 same as my car.

Kara Sali stock comes with a 10wt fork oil you can use a heavier fork oil and it will make it feel firmer but to really make it firm heavier springs is needed

I just bought one of these scooters today with 2700 miles...1 owner runs and drives beautiful. Problem is the owner lived on a super steep hill and the scooter has fallen over several times. I am going to touch it up and follow your videos to make sure it's tip top mechanically...about the oil you you said 5-30 weight but your container showed 10-30 weight.....which one do you really use?. you can but socket wrench is easier, lug wrench keeps pressure even on the aluminum nut and stays square

Depends on environment. If dirt roads every 500miles, if clean pavement every 2000miles

Hi daBinChe my lead won't go past 40mph it's done 22.000 miles I've changed plugs oil filters but never changed the belt and rollers do you think that will be the problem

yeah the belt and rollers needs to be replace. I recommend 10k miles for those...think 15k is what honda says. Usually when I lose 5mph off top speed it is time to change those two and also the variator

What is your opinion about motor oil from Eni 20W50 full synthetic API SG/ Jaso MA, Jaso MA2...can I use that oil for my Honda NHX 110 Lead? Location is West Europe

20w-50 is a little thick, it'll work but will consume more fuel, also in cold temps wouldn't be as good. Stick with what Honda says, 10w-30, I use 0w-20 cause that is what my Honda Fit uses and I don't feel like having a bunch of different oils, but I also change my oil much sooner then honda recommends. I'm in BayArea California so it doesn't get that cold or not too hot. You don't have to worry about the Jaso MA/MA2 ratings any modern motor oil will be fine.

The NHX110 top speed is about 84km/h with new drive parts and rear tire. The rev limiter kicks in above 9K RPM (I think around 9.2K). If top speed is lower then your drive parts and tire is wearing. As the drive parts wear the gearing gets lower, which makes the top speed less but you gain acceleration. Watch my other videos on how to increase tops speed.

This guy is a hack, don't follow him. NHX110 model takes a special molybdenum oil that is only made by Honda. Use the right oil. Check the owner's manual or call your Honda Powersports dealer. If you want reduced performance and premature engine wear then go ahead and use the Walmart oil that's "left over from your truck" and not even engineered for motorcycles.

Yeah you're right in a way, the supermarket brand oil is whack. But however, since it's a 4 stroke, you can just use some good car oil such as mobil or castrol. I prefer mobil over castrol tho

TJ Books You can drink that Cool Aid all you want while the dealership laughs all the way to the bank because of your ignorance. Next time look at the labels on the back of oil bottle tells you everything you need to know about what is okay to use. That moly that you are refering to is label as energy conserving on the API seal. Most all automobile oil has it except the really thicker viscosity. You don't want to use a motorcycle specific oil cause that stuff has no moly in it at all, they are meant for wet clutches, Moly will cause a wet clutch to slip. Scooters with CVT are a dry transmission so there is only a motor to lubricate so it is safe to use moly. Moly is used to get better gas mileage which reduces emissions. So go ahead and keep buying that $10 a quart bottle from the honda dealership while I pay $3 a quart for the same stuff.
