Thanks for putting this together @DaBinChe. Mine hadn't been done since new (just picked it up), hadn't done valves before but this was straightforward along with the Honda factory service manual I found on Google.

Thanks for the great video. When you are at TDC, can you adjust the intake and exhaust valves at the same time?
@DaBinChe Жыл бұрын
yes, but only at the top of the compression stroke if memory is correct. What you have to watch for is the decompression which will cause a too tight a reading. This is why I do it my way.

I had a clicking sound after the riding the scooter when the engine was warm. I tried to adjust the valves as some people online were saying that could the cause. The exhaust value seemed a little tight so I adjusted to spec. Now the scooter idles very rough. Any advice you can give.

Thanks. If you ever decide to show how to get to the piston rings and check on their gaps, would be great. My scooter loses oil on a constant basis (no leaks) and I have no idea why. Maybe piston ring gaps on wrong side.

Thanks! All your uploads have helped me so much with both my NHX110 and SH150. You thinking about doing one for the 110 fork seals?

Also, How long do think it would take to replace the "53219-GFM-970 STEM SUB-ASSY., STEERING"? Thanks again DBC!

Gpt Tbone Not sure but that actual part should be very fast, 5-10minutes. What will take longer is getting all the stuff on the handle bar off/on

Gpt Tbone I won't touch the fork seal unless they need replacing, but will change out the fork oil again and a video on that. Motion Pro makes a fork seal cleaner called SealMate, this is what I use and it works really well.

Hi my friend, I've been watching you for 5 yrs, I have owned a Honda lead since then I always follow ur vids, but today I'm facing a new problem, basically I wanted to adjust the valves level and I found out that the (rocker) stuck on the end of the valves even when the adjustment nail is lose, any idea of why this happened?
@DaBinChe2 жыл бұрын
look at your cam lobe it needs to be pointing towards the piston not away from the piston

@@DaBinChe I checked and it turns out the valve cap is melted somehow I ended up replacing them and now at the moment am adjusting the valves after 1 day of use in the new valves

@@E8ibrahim WTH? low on oil maybe? These things consume oil. I top mine off every 500miles. Make sure you check oil level correctly with the oil cap/dipstick not screwed in. I have a video on that.
