So, I saw this little blue pieces on my floor. Not sure what they were....tossed em out, figuring I tracked in something. Finished running around town, and came back home...during day. Next day...dead battery. They gave me a free replacement. Looked outside a couple hours later...now dark, to see if a dome light was on and voila...brake lights on. Disconnected battery...and found your post. I'll get the part tomorrow and hopefully that will be the fix. Thanks for post.

Thank you. Just found the same thing in a Honda Ody. My broken bushing was grey plastic. I pasted a small coin using double sided foam tape.

Great video - altho you dont need the part at all. I took to Firestone and they knew exactly what the issue was (im friends with the mechanic there ) he fixed it in minutes but he only used a metal square (which is really used in tires ) he said you can even use a magnet - all you need to do is make sure that white part sticking out under the break touches something to make it push back up - so of you dont have the part - you can use just about anything to stick jn between the wite part and that metal bar. You're welcome.

same thing happen on my Nissan Maxima. I did a temp hack to fix it with using double stick tape an a penny. until I got the part.

Not sure if this helps but in the bushing package that I bought there was two in the package. You can see the second one at like 2:36. The black part was on the bottom for one piece and the top for the other. The one I used had a white top part. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2HVqqSVfdl9mtE
