Great video and thanks for sharing. Aisin is my go to for timing belt kits as I don't trust anything else as I've seen and heard of so many stories of pulleys and stuff failing very early on non-OEM or non-Aisin related timing components. I believe there are a lot of counterfeit parts going around on the internet such as if you buy from Amazon, eBay and so forth. Just need to be careful out there. I wouldn't take a chance myself I would either buy from a reputable parts store/place, RockAuto or the dealer for stuff like timing components. The inferior casting and stuff like that on the water pump would be a huge red flag even though some people are saying it is still going. Thanks for the insights. I was pleasantly surprised with the new water pump as well when I got it for my Ridgeline. However the pitted subpar quality Aisin water pump I installed on my MDX 4 years ago is still working great after 30k miles. Just goes to say that looks aren't everything. Aisin makes quality parts.

Is it possible that the first one was counterfeit. There are tons of counterfeit parts on the market.

i bought my same exact kit from Rock Auto. I was skeptical using them but I received same kit.I was FREAKING out when I first saw the pump. I saw it didnt have Aisin RCA on it. I thought that was the best one. Then I called and emailed Aisin in Torrance, CA and a guy named Cesar personally assured me this was genuine pump. Finally I saw this video and I went from horror stricken to elated. Thanks for the video guys!!!

@@MR.G227 hey man. Good thing you asked.....lol WELL if you look it up in honda forums, there's a signature "Warble" sound you hear after you install the Aisin Kit. Turns out the idler pulley is rubbing against the side engine mount bracket. This is the case for Honda Accord 7Th gen V6's. Not sure of your model. But honestly, if I were you, I'd just buy the HONDA OEM kit. Its honestly better. No issue with the "warble" sound if you use that kit. Honda is saying to correct the "warble" you need to buy a idler pulley and crank pulley fix kit. Where you either shave some metal off of oil pump and add a little shim. Aisin kit is working fine. Just I have to buy the correction kit. Prolly shave the oil pump a bit and add the shim behind the idler pulley. So Aisin kit is GREAT quality. its OEM pulleys and water pump.

@@MR.G227 Sorry for long response but I wish someone told me all this without hours of research. lol So in closing Aisin Kit is fine just when your in there you should check with honda if you need the correction kit. Its a TSB on only certain models. But all in all Aisin kit from Rock Auto is legit. Dont buy from Amazon. Ive heard all bad experiences with them. Good luck senor. Fellow HOnda brother. lol

I actually have nothing against Aisin water pumps. But a lot of recommendations led me to just purchasing and NPW water pump.

I bought it from Napa auto parts. I don’t remember the part number. It had a tiny bit of pitting. Not bad at all it works great

Aisin made some items in Korea so maybe its the Korean made. The Japanese made are the best

Do you think that is possible coming directly from WorldPac? Read the comments back when we posted. It sounds like the Asin Engineers were commenting. Then they fixed it see the first video.
