I just discovered the ST1300 a few months ago, and now I own three ST1300. Great bikes and a bargain to purchase used at around $2500 to $3000.

I enjoyed your video. I just bought a mint 2003 with 11k miles on it 3 days ago. I agree, this style of bike is exactly what I like.

FYI. That cruise control is not factory but is made by an Australian company called MCCruise. It's a slick system that is pretty much plug and play. Also, the St1300 weighs 719-730lbs wet where as the new Goldwings is 787-830 lbs wet. So only about 100lbs more. The GL is a newer bike, however, and holds about 2 gal less fuel.

I have a 2003 and love it. You mentioned exhaust... You can get several styles of Delkevic pipes which even have removable baffles. Delkevic sells on Amazon. They make it sound far better than the stock pipes. There are several aftermarket front fork kits and rear shock kits that hugely improve the performance as well. If you do your valve clearance as required and oil changes this is an easy 200,000 mile bike.... Many go way over that.

Nice video - just found it. I am riding a 2004 ST1300 just south of you in Louisville. I am curious about what brand seat you have - that is the one thing that I have had problems with on my bike. The OEM sucked so I got a custom Sargent but it is also uncomfortable, so any info or feedback on your seat would be appreciated. Thanks!
