Honda PC50 Restoration Project - Part 1

I make a start on the full restoration of my Honda PC50. This will involve a full strip-down, respray and reassembly to make a cafe racer style moped.
In this video I remove the rear fender, luggage rack, tax disk holder, chain guard and the air filter.

I am restoring a 1975 Honda pc50 moped as well. Identical to yours. Lots of fun and learning alot. U Tube is a great resource. Ride safe.

Great! It’s the first bike I’ve worked on and I found it extremely easy to work everything out. It’s a little tricky getting certain parts though

I was given one of those nearly 20 years ago, i dint restore it, but did manage to ride it round the garden once or twice i think was the same colour, but with a more of a rust colour in spots everywhere, ha. I also took out of a skip - with permission - a Suzuki B120 and fully restored that, that was an ace project, and I even showed the bike to the original owner after restoration on the way back from the MOT station where it passed :O) I was fully obsessed with building it, even striped down all the spokes and painted them silver, looked like new after I finished it, an awesome project, hope you get as much fun out if it as i did!

Thats awesome! I've loved stripping this apart and I'm quite keen to try and bag another at some point. Getting the paperwork for this has been an absolute nightmare so far though. 8 weeks waiting for Honda and 8 weeks (and counting) waiting to hear from the DVLA. Really hope I can get this back on the road before summer is over

@@itstomsgarage Well that brings back memories of the V5 for me, though I think it was straight forward, I’m sure everything should be ok for you. Btw, I sold the Suzuki for about £350 if I remember correctly on eBay - this was about what I had spent so I felt ok about it. Though finding out by accident how to get a mirror finish on the petrol tank was a bonus!!!!! So I learn quite a few things on that ace project! I now make microphones with ears, and I worked out how to do that by myself too, life is amazing when you let the universe help you - if your into such things!

Are you asking how much to buy? its not for sale at the moment, I am currently stripping it down and rebuilding it
