My Rebel 250 needed a Windscreen. The wind bothers my eyes and ears after awhile. And sand kicks up a little bit from the front tire toward my face. Just enough to be annoying. The windscreen really makes a world of difference.

I'm 64, have been riding on the street since age 16, have owned more than 50 bikes, and 4 of them have been Honda Rebel 250s. I bought the first one new in 1985. I already had a Yamaha XS850 Special at that time, but I just loved the look of the little Rebel, and it was only $1200 brand new. Then I had a couple of used ones, and now I have a 2016 model that I bought brand new. 2016 was the last year for the real Rebel. That was 7 years ago, and it still only has a little over 1000 miles on it. I keep it in the living room. At my age, and with a lot of medical conditions, it's getting harder and harder to ride bigger bikes. I'm planning to make a trike out of my 2006 H-D Sportster 1200, and should still be able to ride the little Rebel for quite sometime (hopefully) I have put over 70,000 miles on Honda Rebel 250s, mostly on the highway at full throttle. The owner of a Honda Rebel forum I used to belong to wore out a brand new Rebel 250, at around 90,000 miles, most of it on the highway at full throttle. Being so small and light, they do feel a little unstable at 70-80 mph, especially when passing semi trucks, but I got used to it. I'm 6' 240, so I added quite a bit of weight to the bike. I have tried various windshields over the past several decades, but never found one that worked, with one exception, and that was the factory windshield and fairing on a 1200 Goldwing Interstate. All the handlebar mount windshields caused extreme helmet buffeting, and in a few cases almost caused me to crash. They acted like a sail, and when I encountered a strong gust of wind, it caught the windshield and tried to yank the handlebars right out of my hands, a couple of times actually blowing me into the next lane. I gave up on windshields. I wear a full face helmet, and now wear earplugs.

Thanks so much for the comment and advice. They are a pretty bike. I wish it was about 30% bigger with a 750 engine. I have other motorcycles. This one reminds me of a mini bike back in the 70’s. They are fun to ride.
