Do you need to remove, drain, and clean the reserve tank? The manual seems to include it as part of the coolant replacement. It looks like a huge pain to do. I see someone asked about the reservoir so not sure if you answered the question already

i need some help. when i go to fill up my reservoir tank the coolant comes out from one of the 4 lines at the bottom. I try to follow the hose-line, and figure out how to stop this from happening. I cant figure it out. it’s 2023 rebel 500
@SLIGHT_
@SLIGHT_ 4 ай бұрын
The middle hose is the radiator reserve overflow tube. So that makes sense. When is it leaking out? (While the bike is running or turned off?) Confirm the overflow is between the high and low marks. This is shown on the bottle. If it’s happening while to bike is running. Sounds like you have an air lock. Have that rad cap off to bleed the system. Then try again. Let me know if that helps dude.

Hey SLIGHT_, I'm having some issues finding the part # for the copper washers. I tried looking in the description as well as throughout the video but I can't seem to find it. Would you mind sending me the part # for the copper washers? Also, I'm not sure what type of coolant I should use. I tried finding the one in your video but it seems it's only available in Canada. What would you recommend? Thank you so much for all your Honda Rebel Maintenance videos!

Man SLIGHT_, I struggle with it for no reason spilled coolant everywhere, how long did u burp the radiator? Does the radiator need to be completely full? Isn’t that what the coolant reservoir is for? Thank You
@SLIGHT_
@SLIGHT_ Жыл бұрын
Doesn’t take too long to burp. Basically you want it to operating temperature (closed loop) fans should come on…. Yet… The overflow will adjust sure. But it’s best to fill as much as you can. Remember you still need to install the cap though. Sorry to hear about the spill.

I bought my bike with less than 1,300 miles on it. I believe the original owner had the bike get its first 500 miles check but I don’t know what all that entails. Should I change the engine oil, brakes and flush the coolant? Very informative by the way.
@SLIGHT_

Oil is easy, so I’d do the oil change minimum. Unless there is a service record. Brake fluid flush… depends on how old your rebel is. Coolant is early.

@SLIGHT_

Is the clutch pulled in? What’s your mileage on yours. Clutches last a while in these rebels. Most commonly it’s a clutch cable adjustment issue. Unless it’s worn. Absolutely I will do this video when I complete it.

@@justincaldera9750 lower fastener (lower coolant drain bolt) sorry… technical term for what is commonly referred to as “bolt” or “drain” If you cover the shifter up, I’m sure that will work.
