Question I own a 2012 Honda foreman w/carburetor may I good idea install a plastic fuel filter between the tank and the carburetor? Thank you in advance

I don’t think that would hurt it at all! Might give you a little peace of mind too!

cleaned mine,it fired right up on choke,but i noticed the primer plunger leaking...kinda wish i hadn't disturbed it

Did you notice the rubber being ripped? You might be able to put the tinyest amount of gasketmaker on it to help it seal but definitely let it dry before putting fuel to it

how musclebound to get with the 7mm jet? mine got tight rather quick but i forced til i cldnt turn anymore
@ToyShopRestorations3 ай бұрын
Nothing on or in the carb should go in that tight 😅 and you just lightly but firmly snug stuff up. They’re just brass which is soft.

It's called the "Emulsion tube" @ 8:28. And you NEVER use carb and choke cleaner on the rubber tip of the inlet needle (aka float valve), or any rubber o-rings, and do NOT use it on the diaphragm @ 29:40.

Thank you for that. What would you recommend to use on rubber parts that are dirty? I agree it’s not the best for the rubber but it’s never been a cause of failure for me so I’ve never looked for an alternative.

@@ToyShopRestorations I use WD40 for cleaning rubber parts.

Please for the love of all things just buy a 10 dollar carb kit. You can never get parts as clean as new parts.

I find carb kits kind of hit or miss. I prefer oem over an aftermarket when it comes to carb parts. But that’s just my preference
