This is what I was thinking about. The ZX-6R is a much better-looking bike to me, and it's quicker too, but no IMU puts me off it. However, the fact that he managed to write the CBR off on his first ride, even though it has all the electronics aids, is concerning.

@wiwwee110 ай бұрын
@@johnnyhun1 The comparison is relevant because the base for the Street Triple comes from Daytona 675. From there Triumph kept working on it and it evolved into the Street Triple of today. In world SuperSport they slap fairings and clip ons on it and it races against the CBR600 RR. The Honda is 2 second per lap slower currently. Honda has done some work with the CBR600 but it has not evolved a lot in 15 years. That's a bit disappointing. Like the R6 the CBR600RR is a fun track bike but sucks on the road. The Triumph does not. So if someone is shopping for the CBR600 and it's not track only, the Triumph is definitely a viable option. And even on track it is likely a better option.
@Rider070418 ай бұрын
I recently did a testride on the ST765RS and have to admit that it is indeed an amazing bike and probably a better suited for the road. The CBR on the other hand is 1800€ less (in Germany atleast), has better traction control, an electronic steering damper, better stability in fast corners and of curse better aerodynamics. With the racing kit and ECU both bikes put out approx 140PS so atleast on track power is equal. Imo you can‘t go wrong with either one, i almost bought the Streetie but than went with the CBR because it brings up a bit more emotion for me and is my dreambike. That being said, i will definitely go for a 765RS or 675R in the next couple of years as a second bike which is better suited for road use, it really is amazing too.

@rns68892 ай бұрын
I think V4s sound amazing, but it helps that it's rare. If it was the other way around, people would be praising inline 4s much more because I do think an I4 revving to 15k rpm sounds better. However 1000 cc I4s don't really rev like 600s, and they don't sound as angelic. So for me, superbikes would be V4s, middleweight are I4s.

The 2008 cbr6 weighed 194, the 2024 zx6r weighs 197. Last r6 was 190 kgs. It's still a middleweight, euro emissions are to blame. The new duke 990 weighs in at 190 kgs, and that's no fairings. Just count the fairings as extra weight, if you take it off it'll probably be like 191.

@@TrickRacingyou're quite the fanatic. I don't know why you'd say that one 600 is way better than the other. They're all so good, you can't go wrong with any. The looks of the cbr and Hondas prestige and quality can't be beat though. You may like yamaha more, but it all comes down to preference in the end, which brand, which looks.. The 2017 r6 is really no different, simillar weight, simillar power. Sure the r6 revs higher but isn't that about it the cbr6 and the gsxr6 sounds amazing still? You're being so biased here bruh. Just say you love the r6 much better than any other supersport, that'd be honest and I appreciate it. @@johnnyhun1the r1 and r6 are amazing, but I find these yamaha fan boys very annoying yeah. One thing yamaha does well is standing out in the Japanese competition, but it breeds people who overhyped them since they're different than the others (highest revving 600, cross plane 4).
