Honda's SECRET Electric $1000 bike review

Honda and MUJI collaborated on a bike and only sold 5000 of them, and only in China - so whats it like to drive?

There are few ebike that honda release Muji, Sundiro(S07&S08), Wuhang Ube, Dax-E, Zoomer-E, & U-Go and they are below 1500usd price tag Most of these e-bike can go as 45-50kph with the exception of muji at 25kph

400kW would = 400,000 Watts!! 🤦Even 4 kW = 4,000 watts = at least 40 mph like a Surron! Maybe 400 watts? = 20 mph. This vid has lots of mistakes like Hondas effort. No wonder not selling in US 🚩😅

I was just at the Chicago Auto Show where Honda is showing its ridiculous Motocompacto. The damn thing nearly snapped my ankles off. I went out and ordered a standup kick boad scooter online from Canada

i just want electric honda monkey or maybe even hybrid. kinda depends on what is cheaper to make and still have the same range as the normal honda monkey.

It seems so many existing motor companies are wanting to convert their present fleet to EV. Doable but not the best approach, this Honda E-scooter is a good example of designing an EV not converting an ICE. I have been really disappointed that of all motor companies the Japanese motor bike companies have been slow to really try their hand at a serious EV bike/scooter/motorcycle. Electric motor technology is the easy part the power source, the lithium ion battery. but many new battery sources are starting to hit main stream now the grail is the completely safe system. I want to see more from these guys not more of their same with an electric motor, though there are great conversion kits to do just that as well.

You pointed out some serious flaws, no mirrors, no indicators, no cruise, but skinny tires is sketch and that seat looks ridiculously uncomfortable 😆I would rather have a gas Honda scooter which are classics. Seriously this is too embarassing to be called a Honda! Probably why they wouldnt dare sell in the US like that. They are SO FAR BEHIND. I think they refuse to fully embrace the ebike world as it would destroy their gas motorcycle and moped $ales. Meanwhile theres dozens of cheaper Chinese ebikes that would smoke this for less $! 🤦‍

Oh cmon, this thing doesnt make sense. I'm a bicycle mechanic, and this thing looks like a nightmare in case you need to work on one. Just get a normal eBike, which has the same performance, is cheaper to work on and has more standardized components. Besides, for 1000$ it's probably the usual chinese crap, which you'll just throw away when it breaks down.

Lovely but Honda needs to be pushed harder. We all know they rather sleuthfully not make EVs of any kind. More practical configuration like wider or more styled fairings, rack/panniers, a freight bike version or even a side car would be very welcome

Nice looking EV bike/moped.🚲 Clean, compact packaging and quite appealing. That would be very useful for short errands and were your workplace is nearby were you live in.
