Bc you're more serious than funny, I dunno if you can get #1 comment here. Still, your points are the #1 that can be said: now I (again) want an S2000, but I don't live on near such a traffic-free course of road. Still, the video was a beauty, driver seemed fully aware & in control all time (like... the revs, the downshifts, the blips, the apexes!, the exits...) and I just want driver to keep his S until July so I can catch a ride when I'm there.

Instead they have ruined the nsx with a car that made Senna roll over his grave and made the Type-r hot hatch unobtainable. Just keep shit simple, like this but improved with new tech... Blank check from mazda to honda....with a memo, "please stay out of our market in entry racing".....Honda is so far from regular Joe racer....I think the SCAA makes entry level race cars....though is strictly for track... just a note that while manufacturer racing is fun...it becomes what F1 is....racing is better when it's about the drivers....to the point of only a couple of cars available on the cheap for the track. This car (S2000) has collector written all over it....a rare thing for such a cheap car....but peeps that like em love em!!

They were going to make a new S2000 then the Twain floods happened which messed up a lot of business that side of the planet. Once they recovered that power station blew which really messed up Honda's production. They are now fully dependent on American and the Europeans design which really only cater for selling to the older market.

So... great, great drive from the S2000 driver, just to learn this track is a challenge and they way he would catch the S2K sliding at speed was just poetry in motion. @tofufregit
@tofufregit 6 жыл бұрын
Darren Lucas I agree with you, an 8 min lap at the Ring is mental. Hell, even a lap in the 9+ range is scary to be honest. The Ring is a really unique and scary place, can't compare to other tracks in the world and those who had only seen the track on KZbin or videogames can't figure how these tight corners, slopes and elevation changes look in real life. It's like a freaking roller coaster if you ask me. The track is narrow too, with portions of the pavement always moist (even in most summer days), so you can experience grip changes in a matter of a few metters, while in a braking point for example. Also, camber angle is a real bitch in some corners. Anyway, with all this, I still think the M4 driver is not great or he doesn't know the track well. It's not a matter of bravery IMHO. His lines are all over the place, he doesn't use properly the available track width, his technique is definetly not refined and it's clear that he relies too much on power. The S2k driver is much faster at every single corner while still being much more refined and delicated driving on the limit. To me, it's obvious that he has much more seat time not only at the Ring but any other track.
