If it's pretty free flowing it wouldn't hurt. If it's baffled you might be able to get away with just adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw.

Have u only done the mods metntioned? I’m from NZ and it’s hard to find good parts but I want to do this what your doing plus cam and ignition. Was it easy to find parts? I’m worried this part of the world maybe a bit hard. I may have to get something from the states amd send it over

I've taken my sweet time with this bike and parts haven't been a problem. My only issue has been price. Some things I feel have been overpriced. When I put the new carb on it was over $600 bucks. I try and stay away from ebay and Amazon.

is rejetting required on 2010+ EFI models too? (im new to bikes, 2010 honda shadow phantom)

EFI bikes have no jets. Computer on the bike should relearn the air fuel mixture to adjust to optimize performance. Might not happen overnight but it should correct over time.

If you just did the free flow pipes couldn't you just get away with tuning it?

You might be able to. I’ve heard of some people being able to adjust fuel screw and bike running fine.

Which carb kit did you go with? The only one I can find is for a dual carb set up on his website. 05 aero 750 single carb as well.

I bought a steel plate from hardware store and welded it on for the base. The base that comes with the seat will not work with our bike unfortunately.

What’s your elevation? I’m doing the same build and I’m at sea level. If you’re above 1500 ft and running a 145 main, then I will probably put a 140 at sea level

Holy shit im about to mess with air fuel mixture screw. Everyone makes it seem easy but nothing on this bike is. Its all there but dam every screw are seized. Im scared itll be stuck in place.

That's what I ran into when I started fooling with mine. Ended up having to buy the whole new carb because I couldn't get the original screws to budge. Good luck!

what is the idle speed set at?

Haven't put a gauge on it but it idles smooth and is strong all the way through the power band. I have the idle pretty low.

Guarantee your not running a 145 pilot jet and a 55 main, maybe a 55 pilot and a 145 main but not the other way around.
