2003 VT750DC. Bike was running like trash so I took out the carburetor; had an extra one in nicer shape so I decided to jet that one and then installed it.

Do they have to be Synced if you buy brand new carburetor
@AnthonyRomagnoloАй бұрын
@@calamity_pip6063 not always, but if they are running a little rough just slide a Philips head screwdriver down through that hole in the backbone of the frame- it’s meant for adjusting the sync screw- tweak it until it’a happy. I’ve done this without the use of a sync tool, but of course it’s always best to use the sync tool if you have it.

Did you have to do any adjustments? And what brand of carb did you get?
@AnthonyRomagnolo Жыл бұрын
I only had to adjust the sync screw. If you look at the backbone of the frame you'll see a hole which enables you to slide a screwdriver down through to the carburetor so you can reach the screw. I didn't use a carburetor sync tool, I simply adjusted the screw until it ran well. & both of these carburetors are Keihin brand (the set that I pulled and the set that I replaced). If there are aftermarket carburetors available for this bike, I would not recommend them.
