Glad you went back to the prior exhaust. At our age, we need to do what works for us and not feel like we have to explain anything to anybody. Besides, we’re dealing with mini bikes. It should be all about fun.

@@jeffferguson899 I don’t ride with music in my ear or any other noises. I enjoy just taking in the sights and sounds of the area I’m riding thru. I think that exhaust would have overpowered the ability to hear anything else around me.

Semi-Auto Clutch fan here also… having a few apart to clean and rebuild, and after watching a couple YT videos that detail how it works, I’m convinced they truly are solid and well designed components. Not only makes a bike easier to ride, it adds a layer of safety. Can tell you’ve done a lot of thinking to improve your enjoyment of this road trip from all you’ve learned from the Lake Michigan roundly-roundly!! Looking forward to you taking us followers along…

Great show, Mike! Great looking exhaust and install. That 'throaty' sound, your family would hear you crossing Indian Creek long before you got home - annoying. What was called a Header Pipe was installed on a xl350 '74 I had and changed it for the worst. Awesome bag! Be Safe.

Good choice of enginge swap Mike. Especially for the reliability factor. That exhaust sounded really good and throaty but yes wise choice on changing it out on the other one considering the long hours of riding you have ahead of you. Kerp up the great work Mike, and I will keep on watching! 👍

Good morning, Mike. We just got home from our first camp ride. The Icebear Champions did great. We rode about 170 miles in total and packed all our gear and food for primitive camping. It was probably one of my favorite adventures I've been a part of. I might as well ask a question while I'm here. I would like to add saddlebags to eliminate my backpack. Have you seen an exhaust mod to route it lower or a kit otherwise for saddlebags on these? Be safe out there. Thanks for the video.
@MiniBikeMike4 ай бұрын
@@aFriendlyPest Sounds like a fun trip! I’ve seen low exhaust. The most common one is a short pipe/muffler, that runs under the engine and exits behind the right footpeg. I think it’s available on eBay, Amazon or some of the parts suppliers. I’ve also seen guys make brackets, that allow the bag/box to hang beside the stock exhaust, without touching it.
