Watching your videos I would have never guessed you were 6' 6". Great videos but the engine is a parallel twin, not a V twin.

DCT and that 270 degree twin are a perfect match! I wish Honda would put that engine & transmission in a small sporty car like the S660. 😂

One of the best things that I'm glad you pointed out was the ability to "lug it" in a higher gear to keep the noise down this would be useful around where I ride at night passing near homes to get to certain trails where all the cvt machines are always at a higher rpm regardless of speed
@evanfield5804 жыл бұрын
The Jackson racing super charger they make for the talon turns it into a monster, you get immediate torque and throttle response

I agree with Shawn Robinson you need evo exhuast. They sound great but not to loud there’s a few videos out there you should check out. Great job the side x side video’s keep me coming back. Thanks.👍👍

Good review bro. Thank you for showcasing it. I’ve been on the fence between the Honda and the can am. I’m leaning towards the Honda cause of the no belt issues. I hate problems and or getting stuck with a broken belt. I just want to ride and enjoy the ride worry free. You’d seems plenty fast for the kind of riding I do.

I love that machine and all the accessories you've added. Honda really stepped up and got in the game with the Talon. If I were gonna drop 20 grand I'd go with the Talon because of the gears and shaft driven transmission. I'm not afraid of belts on 4 wheelers, much less weight and stress on the belt than side by sides. I own a 2019 Yamaha Grizzly 700 I've had for 1 year and My wife has a 2018 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP, so far so good, but we are not crazy and wild drivers like some folks are either and we don't abuse our machines. I mention those 4 wheelers because this is where my only complaint about the Talon comes from. Both the Grizzly and Sportsman have modern high tech display centers on them for 9 grand. You'd think for 20 grand Honda could update their display center to be equal to or surpass what you get on a $9,000 4-wheeler. So that would be my one area of disappointment for that kind of money. And, to let you know I'm not biased toward other brands over honda, in fact I'm probably biased toward Honda. I currently own 3 honda 4 wheelers and a honda pioneer 500, and love them, but they missed the boat on the display on the Talon.

jtarman70 legit observations man..just brought my R home today....and so far I agree, the info console is way behind in comparison...for those s fixn to buy...listen to the critics when they say..it’s inconveniently located, poorly backlit, and the complexity of decoding pertinent info is ridiculous for a machine of this price range...it’s my biggest 24hr observed negative of the Rig
@jtarman705 жыл бұрын
@@user-se5zz3yj9c Yeah, its BS! I have a 2016 Honda 420 ES 4x2 4 wheeler $4,300 brand new, and the display on it is almost as advanced as the talons! Just Ridiculous! Wonder what folks would say if they bought a new $20,000 car or truck and that is the display that came with it! Its unacceptable! Honda needs to stop living in the past when it comes to the technological parts of their off road machines!

I love the ability to control engine speed. I do a lot of in town street driving and the ability to just cruise without the engine screaming all the time is a huge plus for me. Should be good for mpg and engine wear and tear too. Slap on some 32” DOT tires and some sound deadening material inside and this machine sells itself.

Where do you live that you can road drive these??
@erikb88774 жыл бұрын
@@ApocalypsesDawn Right now I'm in NM. A couple years ago the state passed new legislation allowing for the limited on highway use of utv/SxS. A local municipality has the option to pass ordinances against. For example, in Santa Fe(state Capitol) I believe they are street legal but in Albuquerque they are not. AZ has similar laws. We even get legit on highway license plates. When I lived in SD, it was pretty much, an "anything goes" attitude toward all OHV's including ATV's. The only place we couldn't ride was the interstate. Given the fact that SD only has one interstate, that wasn't a problem. In fact, I believe it's the only state to NOT have an interstate running through its state Capitol. I remember riding my Warrior to Mt Rushmore and on the famous Needles Hwy, or riding my rancher to the local Walmart. Many states in recent years have adopted a similar posture toward OHV's because they realize the tourist revenue they generate. More relaxed laws are happening every year. Unfortunately, if you live out east or on the west coast, you're screwed. A buddy of mine lives in a small town in Illinois and the cops harassed him for loading his onto a trailer in front of his house. They threatened to impound it if they caught him doing it again. PS, I should add that my RZR XP1K has the basic additional street legal equipment such as blinkers, mirrors, horn, marker lights, license plate lights, DOT rated tires, and liability insurance of course.

You mentioned you've rode in the Polaris RZR's before as well. Can you compare the cab noise level to the RZR? I love how quiet the RZR is so you can have a conversation with a passenger, but would much rather get a Talon for multiple reasons.
@DownSouthRacing5 жыл бұрын
The talon is incredible because you can be in 6th gear around 3500 rpm at like 30 mph which is fast in the woods so it’s super quiet!

I love everything about the Talon except I hate the i4wd it eats your breaks up and requires too much wheel spin before it engages. In mud and sand, it gets confused and makes you hop around on the rocks. Other than that it's great!
