What does that screw do? 14:25 in the video
@QuantiQualification Жыл бұрын
@@eugeniodesantiago6640That is the auto-clutch adjustment screw. It smooths out the shifting between gears.

"make sure the peg sticks into the hole in the back pieces". Wish he was thorough enough to show us that. At that point, I realized video isn't really thorough and exited out. But in all fairness to him, he would need a bench and a lighted area and a cameraman and a lot of time. He did a good job all things considered

I think you are referring to time stamp 13:23. The peg on the piece we are adding sticks into the slot of the piece we added immediately before we put the spring on. See 3:20 for what I am talking about if you need another view. The Ovalish shaped slot that I show is the hole that the peg goes in. Hope this helps and thank you for pointing this out.

If you think this video isn't Thorough?.. Wow. It's more detailed than a couple of my Japanese Dealer Shop Manuals.

And for those who haven't noticed.. he's already put in, put on.. an external oil cooler. So what are your thoughts as to why Honda didn't put a paper oil filter on the 2021 or 2022 bikes but yet they DO have one on the 2023+ bikes?.. Trying to get the bike ready for the US market and didn't get it done in time? How much of these pre-2023 motors is the SAME as the 2023/+ motors? Great content.

@billbrigham7514 I think the spinner filter works okay if you didn't have access to regular paper filters (area of the world dependant). The stroke is certainly different on the newer engines, so not entirely similar. I know a bunch of the engine accessories are different and do not fit between the generations.

Put a little dielectric grease on the rubber grommets for the side cover. It will be much easier to remove and replace.
@QuantiQualification Жыл бұрын
Excellent idea! It actually took a little force to get it to pop on this time. I will definitely use that trick the next time I have to remove it.

@QuantiQualification Use just a little on a Q tip on the inside. I've never had a problem with a cover coming off going down the road on my motorcycles, but there's a first time for everything.

Such a great video! Just used this as a guide to complete mine, literally everything I needed. Thank you for sharing. I did wanna ask, were you able to smooth out the shifting? I adjusted it like you said and then tweaked it to have it closer to the counter clockwise friction point, but it’s still a little sticky on some of the shifts. Curious if that loosened over time or if I should keep trying to adjust it.
@QuantiQualification6 күн бұрын
@Sixer-84 I reduced the number of springs from 6 to 3, and that helped some. It has never been as easy to shift as stock since the change, however. No slipping though 😁

When you dont have a clue and just tear the side cover off...snapping off the plastic tabs......"Still lots of little bits and pieces"=One piece that simply slides off....Shift lever is held on by a 12mm bolt,not a pinch screw.Don't worry,I left out the important parts so you cant see how to put the case back on with the screwdriver in the way.Again Just because I dont know the difference between a screw and a bolt...Dont worry,I can make it appear like I know what I am doing.

Thank you for commenting. 1) Interestingly, I was able to take off the plastic side cover without breaking the tabs the first time I tried, even though there was no guide on youtube at the time. I have since provided the only guide. You can look it up if you would like. The tabs are delicate and ultimately, if you work on the bike extensively, like I have, they will sheer off. 2) Feel free to study the difference between a screw and a bolt. I have and was surprised to discover that the vast majority of the population gets it wrong, myself including when I started filming youtube videos. Just an FYI, a bolt REQUIRES a nut to be classified as such. If not, the threaded fastener, by definition, is a screw. Sucks, but that is what the standards say. I have had plenty of berating for trying to hold that standard but I try to be accurate. 3) I am not an expert. I don't claim to be an expert. I expect people to view the videos if it is helpful to them or for entertainment. This is only the second time I have removed the right side engine cover and I do think I faired well. 4) If you need to see different views of the engine side cover being put on, I also have an oil pump installation video you are welcome to view. Caveat emptor applies.
