im a fan of motorcycles since i grew up with those rides. my father drove this bikes 100cc and 150cc to work everyday and this is our family vehicle, so everytime i see motorbikes it feels young again and reminds me of my fathers hardwork.

i love ALL your upgrades ! if i do the crash bars i would use double side tape... but i think it would make more sense for me to do the BBK ( big bore kit ) first then work my way out ? i would like to upgrade the front suspension ( seems the solution is to add caps and slightly more 20w oil then adjust as need ) replace the rear shocks with adjustable ones. we have the 2022 so mine for some reason came with the optimate battery extender already there ! ( just below the fuel injector ) so i need the battery tender... ( just in case plus i have other batts that i can use with so win win ) then i would be thinking about the chain and gearing ( fairly easy and not too bad on the wallet either ) then i would go handlebar stabilizer, usb port $20, (recommend making sure (( because there are quite a few...)) you get the one with 2x type A, 1x type c pd with a power on/off AND also the voltmeter ! (( led comes in 3 exciting colors ;) ) now i can move on to the rear trunk this customize to your dreams. i am seriously considering the extended rack ( but not recommended if you do a lot of offroad OR steep hills. ) then shinkos ( again recommended IF you plan to do a lot of offroading. ) i will likely do this ASAP because when i did it on my ebike it was 2 different worlds. ( one dangerous and one safe and secure ) it really changed the fun level too because now i could be confident riding ) IF i ever get to cosmetics ill do the short windshield similar to yours. as much as i love that honda logo in the front i instead will be going with a light up trail 125 i plan to replace the horn with something more intimidating and less annoying ;) im doing the grips also but the dealer do that fer me. also and i consider this one of the first ! i gotta get that brake pedal cover because i am unable to use the rear brakes almost at all ! which leads to my main gripe/con for this bike... the front brake should be on the left ! soooo friggin dangerous for me being the opposite. im doing the mirrors, a cheap motion alarm ($20) just for kicks mostly lol IF all that goes well i would seriously consider losing some weight with the back end because this effects the bikes handling a lot more then most would imagine. but if i only do a few of those i would be happy with the bike just as it is. ive watching hundreds of videos in the past 3 yr so hopefully this could help somebody ?

@@findingneutral just an update ! :) i simply HATE the crash bars ( where i mounted a couple of the stereos speakers gonna relocate then to the handlebars it would seem... ) what a waste of $$$ but lesson learned. they are way too heavy and it made steering a pita so they gonna go ASAP. i will replace the full thing now with the black ( removing the stock crashbars ) at least now i know what i am looking to buy and why lol... as far as the back end goes... i still cant figure out what configuration i will use but i still have to find a way to mount the sub woofer... may just get a case from harbor freight and mount it ontop of that... i did get the extended rack but again its heavy ! ugh... we'll see thanks again !

@KtotheL Crash bars have mixed reviews on all models. Even in my CB500X some say they are great in a drop, but lots say exactly what you just said... heavy and also add to vibration. I really love the look of them but can definitely see your point. I'm sure you'll find a good speaker mounting location. Sounds like your making progress either way. Have you seen the new yellow version? Wow 👌

@@JohnnyLREACTS Its been a while since I purchased it from this seller. But here's the link. Only thing that went wrong was the little raised hard plastic sticker it came with peeled off. I reaffixed it with different 2 sided adhesive tape. Also, the only hardware it came with was the screws. I decided to find some plastic washers and some nylock nuts on the backside just to beef it up against vibration. As it came it was just the screws, the screen, then the brackets with the mm holes. Hope this info helps. www.ebay.com/itm/WINDSHIELD-WINDSCREEN-HONDA-CT125-TRAIL-HUNTER-2020-2021-METER-VISOR-SHIELD/114573884550?pageci=e39320a5-7af1-4ee4-86b4-e69f8b93c5f3

Installing all the available accessories and upgrades probably adds over 50lbs to the all up weight and probably adds $600 to the $4000 price. I think that I'll just get my tired old '68 CT-90 refurbed even though the suspension, brakes, and electric starter are big plusses with the new T-125.
@findingneutral
@findingneutral 3 жыл бұрын
The metal used for the accessories is surprisingly light. Which makes you wonder how well it would do in a smack down. But if I took it all off and into a pile my guess would be 25-30 pounds. Heaviest thing was the engine crash guard, which is just tubular metal. If one were counting pounds for trekking they'd probably want to be selective for sure. I just tried refurbing a 1970 Honda CT90. Got it beautiful looking, but could never get the engine right and beings no one in my vicinity wants to work on engines had to let the money pit go. Hated to do that and would have preferred to have an original over a new version. This model was my shot at redemption. Its nice an all but if you can get what you have going I would surely just go that route vs buying a new one. The feel riding this new one vs my old one is so similar anyways. I have a feeling getting in to clean the oil spinner and screen on this is going to be a huge pain in the ass too.

Nice video. Nice clean bike! Neat accessories and your voice was always nice, clear and easy to understand! I like the bikes, my choice would be the Honda Super 125, I think it's called, because I wouldn't even know were I could ride off road. I would get one, but I have a Yamaha V Star 250 for economy, and short tips and for serious or longer distance Hwy riding hope they'll soon get my Yamaha FZ 1000 running. Might even race that one. Love the feeling of accelerating while wishing my hands were chained to the handlebars. Whoopieeee! At 72, I'm still a Thrill Seeker. lol

Thanks David 🙂! Much appreciated. Your probably talking about the new Honda Super Cub. Definately preferred for on road riding vs the Trail125 tires and gearing wise. Both have their own individual cool attributes. Sounds like you have two perfect bikes already though. I've never had a large CC such as a 1000. But I sure would like to take a spin on one eventually. I agree, sometimes while gripping the grips you just want to keep on riding into an endless sunset🌇 .

Thanks 🙂! I hope you get one soon. I remember last year waiting 4 months for mine. In hind sight that's was a walk in the park compared to you and others that have been waiting forever. They really are a fun bike and I hope Honda gets to cranking them out. In the meantime if you ever get the chance to sit on a Super Cub go do it. Maybe even test ride one if they have a used one. The seat is essentially the same (hard on the butt) but tolerable until Corbin releases their seat for it. Also the riders triangle is about the same.

Did the windshield help with the wind at all or is it mostly just for looks?
@findingneutral
@findingneutral 3 жыл бұрын
You can feel where it helps, for me basically chest then down. If you tuck they help even more. Coupled with the hand guards I think it offers a tad of aerodynamics. Plus it offers a bit of protection to the backside of the instrument cluster and looks snazzy. I was skeptical of these tiny screens until I bought one for my Monkey and notice a few mph increase. Every tiny bit helps with these little bikes so I'm a fan of them since I'm mostly on road and need all the umph I can muster.

I get it. You are avoiding the NSA voice printing your KZbins. Why the sandwich size Pelican box instead of a larger one you can actually put stuff in? Had the larger one on my KLR with two front sliding brackets and a rear locking lug. or make your own . Put it on - take it off as needed. Look at factory Kawasaki KLR soft zippered throw over saddle bags (most people don't know about them). Don't know if the notch will work for the factory 125 exhaust, but they are adjustable & may actually fit with a little creativity. They are cheap, tough, light, larger than you would think and without too much factory logo stuff. .

Sweet, love the look. Whats it like to ride compared to the Monkey?
@findingneutral
@findingneutral 3 жыл бұрын
To me the ride is more of a raw experience on the Trail125. The suspension is stiffer and you feel all the roads imperfections, but the flip side better ride off road and more ground clearance. The transmission is geared lower thus slower, but the flip side is better torque off road. The seat is very firm, but the flip side is the riding position is a perfect rider's triangle kind of like being on a bicycle. The heal toe shift without and hand clutch is oddly fun. I think because it activates another part of your brain 🧠 we seldom use. You have to focus a bit more plus not forget your not on the Monkey. I love the looks, history, and appeal of the Trail125. Its going to make a 'gentle slow' off road rider out if me one day when I have more time to go find off road places to ride. But getting off that, and then immediately getting on the Monkey seat your buttocks are like 😌 ahhhhhhhhhh. I guess this sums it up... the Trail125 is like a 🍎 red, crisp, and hard. The Monkey like a 🍌 yellow, smooth, and soft...
