Honda Transalp XL-700 Air filter change and Throttle Position Sensor test.

My Transalp has been running a little rough at very low revs, so I try to resolve that with a new air filter and testing the TPS.

Hi Ryan,ive got the same problem with my transalp 700 so i will be watching this till you find the problem.Checked all forums for similar problems and a lot of people saying its the plug caps.i ordered 2 new ones and ill let u know how i get on.Ive also got another problem that might be linked.Sometimes when my bike doesnt start when its hot.Been told its a fault with the coils,so i ordered 2 new ones and hope to fit them plus the caps in the next few weeks.

Hi Allan, since cleaning the connections to my Throttle position sensor and changing the air filter my bike has ran perfectly. Throttle response is now smooth and it feels more responsive. Hope you get yours sorted. Ryan

Ryan, be wise and stop with the mismatched wheel. That will cost a lot of money and what is the profit in the end? A spoked wheel. A waste of all your money and time. Just use the comstar wheel. My opinion.

Hi, You are absolutely correct and I am almost certainly about to waste money. But, I'm building this for myself with no plans to sell it or make a profit. I started out wanting to run a matching pair of spoked wheels with a more traditional 21" on the front, so having had the front end custom modified to take the XR forks I'm already too far into this madness. Thank you.
