I bought this a year and a half ago and i don't regret, even for a second buying this bike. i use it mostly for weekend and use my ST1300 for commuting 5 days a week, year round. i got in my 401K once i became 59 and 1/2 and no penalty for withdrawing. i have been saving up in my 401 since i was 24 with a dream of getting something to ride when i retire. i would have gotten a full dress Goldwing , but my wife of 30 years passed away 7 years ago and now looked to find something for a solo rider and this was it. A couch made of butter with afterburners. corners beautifully with no extra input. 0 - 60 in 3.4 secs. claimed on some sites and i believe it after trying... scared my self with the power. 400four SS, V-45 Magna, PC800, ST1100, ST1300 since 1978. No car since 78 but got my wife's I swear I use only for grocery shopping. That chore would be a bitch on a bike with carrying a weeks worth.

As an added information. I just got my bike back from a tune up at a dealership where I bought the bike. 2 tires and the tuneup (synthetic oil) ran my wallet nearly $1000. The front tire is custom and made by Dunlop with a contract to Honda only to sell it to them which you now have to rebuy. Front ran $210 and the rear ran $280. Nobody would touch it in Santa Cruz, Ca. and I had to drive it 25 miles to the nearest place that would do the work which I have been going to for years and years until I moved. Highly rated by Yelp and myself.

@@amacmotovlogs I'm still riding the ST1300 for commuting 300 a week and now have 98,000 miles on it.The central coast of California will let you do it. I got this to have something in a completely different style and ride and Oh how I succeeded.

The new Valkyrie is way more powerful than the old version. Old Valkyrie 0-60 about 4.3 seconds. New Valkyrie 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. Faster than a Lamborghini Diablo V12 or a Aston Martin Vantage V-10. Super Car Performance at a fraction of the cost. Count me in :D

The first generation looks like every other large cruiser motorcycle out there. Unless you actually know what you are looking at, you couldn't tell it apart from any other Harley or Indian or kawasaki. The new one looks unique and powerful. There is no mistaking it for anything else.

Believe it or not the original Valkyrie was much more of a "parts bin" project. Honda found away to showcase the crown jewel of it's powerplants, the GL1500 F6.

230 mile range on the tank and getting gas is a welcome break for a little stretch for the butt muscles from sitting on that stock seat. It's very comfortable till then.

I had a ‘15 Valkyrie and it was great! My problem was I don’t think I was in condition to ride it. I was 60 years old at the time and if I rode it for more than hour or two…I would be so worn out. I got a Victory Vision (yes…yes…I know). Still it was awesome

I had the 98 VALKYRIE loved it ! This one not so much ! I would have rather seen two tone paint and chrome again but still with the 1800cc engine FI rather then 6 carbs ! All the flat black plastic absolutely ruined the look as well as the dual radiators looks kind of tacky just not for me! If honda decides to bring it back for the third time i would like the Indian Chieftain look or Springfield look but with nice chrome and two tone paint and ditch the Matt black look it looks awful! If you build this bike along those lines i will buy one ! I still have my 03 GW the bike i traded in my 98 Valkyrie for and would like to add the new Valkyrie to m garbage!

Love this bike and just purchased one. I can't understand why Honda didn't bother to smooth out that frame weld on both sides just below the rear of the tank. In an otherwise perfect looking bike, that is a visual takeaway and a glaring flaw to the unknowing observer. And how come almost every video of this bike has it riding on wet pavement?
