This review is the best of its kind from a real expert rider. The very detailed description of the bike riding experience is what people want to know!

It's weird watching this. I remember watching this right after I bought my first bike. Liked the bike then. But I'm a softail man so that's all I'm into. But I wanna save my Harleys for my days off and vacation trips. This would be a great bike to have for a everyday rider for me. Comfortable and reliable. Cool bike too.

I purchase a new Valkyrie last week and I can say I'm really impressed! This bike rides like the Goldwing and handles great! I like the power and it runs like no bike I've ever ridden before. It's like having a Porsche 911 between your legs. I just rode it for a 118 mile short trip and its comfortable. Power to spare. LOVE IT!
@itszando9 жыл бұрын
Fred Daniel did you get a 2015? I'm looking to get a good deal on a leftover 14 but i'm glad to hear good things about the bike.
@StonerAR109 жыл бұрын
I go a new 2014 for $13,400 out the door. I love it. My son has a Victory V Twin and he loved it after he rode it. He said it has fantastic power and tourqe and handles like a street bike.
@manishsamson25999 жыл бұрын
Fred Daniel What would be the top speed of Victory V Twin and the Valkryie? I have a cousin who has a 1290 KTM Super Duke R, and I was wondering what its speed would be in comparison to that. (The Super Duke R's top speed is 186 mph)

My Honda dealer has one. In person it looks bad ass. I like it a lot. I'm on 5'8 and have a 30" inseam and the seat doesn't put my legs in an awkward position. I tried the f6b and didn't like it because of the wide seat. The seat is narrower and fits me well. I don't recall if it has a passenger pad (I believe it does). If Honda makes a small windshield for it then I would defiantly put this on the list of bikes to consider for my wife and I to ride around on. I have always loved the flat 6 motor and thought the f6b would be my ticket but it isn't. The new Valerie sure is thou. Low weight, awesome engine, pretty main stance free (other then changing the stupid air filter) makes this a real winner for Honda!!
@CactusJack25210 жыл бұрын
I don't like the new 1300's. I ended up get a 2007 sportster 1200 custom and I love that bike. Thank you for the suggestion.

I very much like the Valkyrie Rune, and this seems like a great re-imagining.

Honda has basically made three Goldwings, Valkyrie-small, F6B-medium, and Goldwing,large. As a person who has owned a Valkyrie Tourer for 15 years, I'm a bit disappointed .It looks like options will be limited on the Valk. Honda has not offered any hard bags or windshield, as it would probably just take away from F6B sales. Where's my chrome? Dressing up your bike with all that hardware made it unique. Too much plastic for my tastes, even though it probably handles and performs well.

Great and fun machine for sure. I love my 2014 Valkyrie and may adapt to DCT in the future but don’t know for sure. For now no need to make any alternate arrangement. Good night

"Grandfather's Valkyrie"? Pardon me? A: I'm a grandfather multiple times. B: I had a Valkyrie Tourer that I dearly loved a while back. If I had found the guy who did the seat on my VTX1300 earlier, I'd probably not have done the trade I did. The new one looks nice, maybe I'll get to test ride one someday.
@chrisblake191810 жыл бұрын
As it is, the 98 Valkyrie traded straight across for an 03 VTX1300, and the seat on this bike is superb. G+ sent me some kind of warning about having tried to market stuff, so I won't tell you who it is. But his work is superb, and he's local.

It makes me miss the RUNE. I so wanted one of those when they were around. I'll have to ride one of these.
@highonimmi10 жыл бұрын
can't you find a good used one? I am with you...those runes were gorgeous. sexy lines, nice power and so smooth. I got to ride on the back of one a few times. unfortunately, I am too short for those...fortunately for my wallet I am too short for those...or most bikes:)
@BeastRider10 жыл бұрын
highonimmi. There is always the Honda Grom. I would look like a circus bear on a Grom. But I still think they're cool. Nothing wrong with being short. Finding a Rune, however... Hard to find used in good condition. The prices are normally insane. They are beautiful, though. I'm happy with the softail I built. Perhaps I'll get lucky in the future. I'll find a Rune that was never used just waiting for me. I'll give you a ride.

The question is.... what is the bike's mission. It is not a cruiser. It is not a touring bike. I don't think it is a muscle machine like the VMax. I'm not crazy about the styling either. By the way... I have a 2002 Valkyrie that I just love.
@lemonjellies498510 жыл бұрын
The bike's mission... is to appeal to younger/different riders that want to ride a cruiser that looks modern as opposed to the old Valkyrie or a Harley. It's for people with a different sense of style and as such won't appeal to traditional Valk riders.
@Ydkoll10 жыл бұрын
lemonjellies In my opinion thats not a mission, thats what i call a big mistake. Can you honestly say that anyone who buys that thing can actually use it to its fullest potential? I bet if you find the most experienced rider out there, even he wouldn't be able to max out that bike to its fullest potential. I can understand if Honda wanted to use 1300 cc but 1832 cc......REALLY Honda?
@dangalli110 жыл бұрын
I bought a new "leftover" 2013 V-Max 1700 but I was considering the Valkyrie. The raw horsepower the V-Max had to offer was the main reason I went with it over the Valkyrie. I sat on a Valkyrie yesterday at a dealership up here in Northern California (Santa Rosa) and I now have buyers remorse. What a comfortable bike! Awesome styling. Really nice passenger seat and grab bar for my G/F and I was flat footed! Not so on the V-Max, I'm 5'8" with a 30" in-seam. I have a lowering link and a shorter kick-stand on the way for my V-Max, so I won't be on my tip toes for too much longer, but I keep thinking about the reliability of the f-ing Flat 6! Ugh! LOL!!!

No a good bike review show the bike on all sides while parked, from far enough away to see the styling. It describes the features. You mount the bike so you can show the seating, leg, handlebar position. Then you take off.

I can get a low mileage 1500cc Valkyrie for $5000. You want me to spend $15,000 for a bike that is "comparable in power", but handles better? Let's see "power CRUISER" is what the bike is, not R1, GSXR,ZX, twistie manager! So, thank you and tell Honda that you sold me on the "grandfather's Valkyrie" with your face review. Like the old Burger King commercial with a twist, "Where's the bike!"

You can get a low mileage 2014 Valkyrie for $9000.
@ababbit74618 жыл бұрын
Robert Brandywine I can also get a 1500 Valkyrie for as little as $3500 with low mileage, but you are right that is a good deal for the 1800 Valkyrie!!!! I owned the 1500 Valk and liked it, but it ate tires in as little as 3,000 miles! Good point Robert.
@robertbrandywine8 жыл бұрын
A Babbit The people that own the 1800 Valkyrie's are complaining about how little their bikes are selling for, so buyers should take advantage of that. I've actually seen some later year 1500 Valkyries listed for almost as much as a 2014.
@ababbit74618 жыл бұрын
