In 1991 I bought a 1985 VF500. Left Louisville, Ky. Nov 2nd sleeting snow and ended in Daytona Beach, Fl. 850 miles later in the sun. Not bad for an 18 year old kids first adventure. Had to join the Navy to top that one. I love those bikes!

i bought a vf750f for 600 CAD$ and had a chance to ride it for 3 weeks before winter started. It is my first motorcycle so i have no base to compare it with but i can honeslty say the performance blows my mind. Great low rpm torque, high HP, great acceleration and cornering. It sure a hell of a bike!

I like the Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells record hanging out on your shelf--good taste. I have a '82 V45 Magna, which has a version of Honda's 750 V4 motor, but it's shaft driven. A quick bike back in the day. I really like the V4 sound.

I have one, 1985, 23k km, fully restored, I spent 1000 doing it up, it runs sweeter than sweet, aii good, but they are not worth anything, no one wants them. Germany.

You make some great points about this bike. I agree with them all. Have just acquired a non running 1983 US model with the alloy wheels (which look better than the euro/UK ComStars IMO) that's almost complete. The NASA fuel tap is missing!! Some heavy rust on the frame, levers and pedals, and corrosion on the engine. Plus the original silencers are intact though there's also rust showing through the rare black chrome. But a restorable bike that's never been dropped. Should be ready by the time it's become a collectable classic ;)) But I plan to ride it.
