Fantastic video. You are very modest about your abilities. Changing an engine by yourself in a few hours is amazing. I can only admire as like many others, I would not have a clue where to start. It was fascinating to watch.

Thank you for your comment. It’s nice to receive a nice one every now and then. I’ve had quite a bit of experience with these little bikes so I guess that helps. Best regards

Great video, thanks for documenting your hard work. I have just bought a new one and I am always keen to do my own maintenance so it was good to see you pull this one apart. Will be greasing my main stand pivot bolt as soon as I get it home!👍

Hi Simon. Great video. Will be interesting to know what you discover when you strip the old engine - that will be well worth videoing.

You would have done it in less than half the time without interruption. Thank you for your efforts and guidance. I will now be checking my stand for lubrication since you mentioned it. I will be interested why the other went wrong though. Cheers Q

I bought in octobre 2021 the latest model, largely because of your first videos and testimony. Mine is running fine, tho I wasn't able to fit the LED headlamp you kindly recommendend when I asked you about them back then: the heatsink is too bulky and hits the bottom of the dashboard, tilting the headlamp block upwards. I still have to figure out how to fix this, because as you said a LED headlamp is a considerable improvement over the stock filament bulb. The only regret I have is that its top speed renders it, for me, unsuitable for normal roads : I'm stuck around 55-60 MPH on the flat, and 50 if I'm lucky when the wind blows my way or I'm on an incline, hence the cars piling up angrily behind me. I don't feel secure. I think I will sell it for a more powerful 125 this spring because of that. I need a bike that can keep up with the trafic even when the wind blows. But I will regret it: the Vision 110 is a breeze to ride in a city or on desert roads, and perfectly adequate for what I do with it. If it wasn't for the trafic, I would ride nothing else. Thank you very much for the time you put in those videos, by the way.

I do also have a vision 110, I have not seen videos about basic service or maintenance. My Vision horn is not working, and I can't figure out the sequence of panel removals.

so much for honda reliability.. had a SH 125 with broken camshaft with bout the same miles on.. the issue was oil pump. the fuel consumption x2 vs vision..

That’s the thing though. I was amazed at how long this little 110cc engine had lasted considering it lives at 50mph for most of my commute. It has done really well in my opinion and I was happy at that engine life given the Scottish weather and the abuse it’s had.

So long as it's serviced regularly it's fine . My honda vision is currently on 42,000 miles . Serviced every 3000 miles

Can I put wider tires on the Honda Vision 110?Front 90/90-16 and rear 100/90-14?

Hi Simon, I first came across your channel some years ago when you had a Vision and an S-Wing, coincidentally I have a Vision 110 pre ESP from 2012 and an S-Wing 150 from 2008, both are incredibly underrated in my opinion. We are in Italy and use them during the summer, so they are both low mileage and in great shape, I maintain them myself but it is always good to see someone else getting their hands dirty. It would be interesting to know why the engine failed, I would expect better than 19,000 miles from a Honda, do you use the Idling Stop System? Best wishes

Wonder if you could help, have a honda wave afs 110 , 16reg . Burns oil so quickly, having to fill up at least once a week , what could be causing this?
@scootyman2974 Жыл бұрын
It could be for a number of reasons but it sounds like it’s burning oil if there are no signs of a leak anywhere. Is it a high mileage bike? It could be wear in the piston rings and cylinder bore allowing oil to pass into the combustion chamber but you would know by the smoke if it was burning oil. Come and chat to us on the Facebook Honda Vision page. You could message me directly there. You’ll find my posts if you scroll down through 👍

Hi Simon, I was looking for some info on the internet but couldn't find any. So, i wanted to ask you about is it possible to use a different variator for the 2021-23 vision 110? (eg: polini, malossi,j-costa)
@TORTLESSS Жыл бұрын
i wonder if honda subcontracts this to another manufacturer, they deploy the same 125cc fi engine in southeast asia and they last 100k easy with proper maintenance

Hi Simon, Really enjoyed watching the video, I will be very interested to find out what caused the other engine to fail. Had my SH now for 8 months and it gets used everyday, cracking commuter. Best wishes Paul

mine does 86 km/h with GPS but has a problem as soon as it warms up it seems like there is no air or fuel like a half closed muffler... it loses power and stops at a maximum of 70 km/h and on climbs it is very slow. 2024 only 1940k. Has this happened to anyone?
