I have an issue with rear suspension link, I'm trying to remove the bolts but there is one I can´t take out, it holds the "triangular" link to the swingarm, I noticed there are two welded washers that doesn´t allow the bolt to move out, could you give me an advice on how to remove that bolt? Thanks for your help in advance... Have a nice day!!!

I just bought a 2003 xr100r and the rear wheel was missing all the spacers and the bearings were shot. Can you please explain or show where and how the spacers are assembled! I was hoping you would show complete disassemble and reassembly showing spacer placements. Thanks
@TepcoCycleRepair2 жыл бұрын
Best thing to do is check out a parts diagram for spacer locations. I do have an XR100 here now, if you have any questions please feel free to email me on my about page. Here is a link to the parts diagram for your rear wheel. www.rockymountainatvmc.com/oem-schematic/2 Just select rear wheel after clicking the link.

My springs do not have opposite hooks is that normal or do I have to get the spring to twist in order for them to be opposite, I have the same amount of tension as you do in the video
@TepcoCycleRepair12 күн бұрын
The springs should be opposite, if they're not they're the wrong ones. You can't twist them to work, the spring tension will just twist it back.

My rear break hub won’t come off. I’m thinking pry from opposite sides at the same time and try and force it out. What do you suggest?
@TepcoCycleRepair Жыл бұрын
Make sure the brake pads are retracted all the way.
@NomDeGuerre91 Жыл бұрын
I have everything off but the hub and the shaft the lever slips onto. I put the lever back on and worked it back and forth while I was pulling up on the hub. Still jammed. The hub will rotate all the way around freely

Hi, does this method apply to air cooled mono trials bikes with drum brakes too?
@TepcoCycleRepair9 ай бұрын
I've never ridden a trials bike with a drum brake, must be a classic. I would imagine it would be similar.

@@TepcoCycleRepair it’s an 80’s Yamaha ty250 bike, like you say it must be a similar process I’d imagine. I’ll give it a go. Thank you 👍🏻

Make sure the shoes are completely retracted. The part that twists and spreads them apart sometimes turns if the cable is still attached.

Ok so I put brand new pads on for the rear and they don’t grab… not even the slightest I cleaned the drum and still the same thing
@TepcoCycleRepair Жыл бұрын
Are they making contact with the drum?
@therealilxaiden Жыл бұрын
@@TepcoCycleRepair yes, when I have the rear wheel off the bike and try to rotate the drum while keeping the wheel still it will grab nice but as soon as it goes on the bikes it’s ineffective
@TepcoCycleRepair Жыл бұрын
@@therealilxaiden So two things can cause that, Improperly adjusted mounting point/brake rod or extremely worn drum. I'm going to guess the first. If it doesn't grab with new pads, rotate the arm one notch back and reset the brake arm. If it's too far forward when you step on the brake, it will bottom out and won't be able to apply the proper amount of brake pressure.
@therealilxaiden Жыл бұрын
@@TepcoCycleRepair I solved it. For one I didn’t have the dots lined up on the rod and arm. And two I had the rod way too much to the front. They work nice now. Thanks for the help 😁
