@@unnoticed6802 One I was in the Navy two you're right a 50 does have an immense amount of recoil and three I have used the 50 during deployments for two different types of missions. 1 would be target interdiction as in a bad guy is traveling in a convoy or in a vehicle and we want to capture him and two would be I carried a SR-25 rifle as well as a 50 on Long Range Patrols to protect convoys of Army or Marines from VBIED as well as ambushes and again as an anti-material rifle the 50 has enough bang to blow up roadside IEDs.

You also have a SWAT officer NOT shooting the engine block which is exactly what that gun is for and what I’m going to assume he is trained to do (I’m going to go on the assumption that someone from the military would come in to teach SWAT how to best utilise such a gun and to train them so the subject would come up). Also going for the head is something no law enforcement officer is trained to do unless the subject has an explosive vest on. They are all trained to shoot centre mass and while it is likely that a SWAT officer would go for the head, I find it unlikely someone in his position would take that risk

@@lostwizardcat9910 I mean you are technically right. That is assuming however that you have a shot on target. I also wouldn’t be doing it with a .50. Chances are that bullet is going to hit both the shield and the target unless you are a crack shot and the type of law enforcement officer who doesn’t follow guidelines. I’m not saying it’s not the best option, I’m just overanalysing a TV show and stating how I do not think that any sniper would wilfully ignore their training. Also that bullet is travelling so fast that hot lead and bits of skull matter would hit and injure the shield even if you do miss them plus having someone’s head turn into red mist would fuck someone up psychologically

Facts: The Barrett .50 BMG hits with more force than .44 Magnum point blank from 75 football fields away, it can also easily rip a man in half behind a brick wall from over a mile away. The recoil on that gun is like getting hit in the chest with a sledgehammer while Tyson hits you with a left at the same time (Just fired it a week ago) lol, the recoil depicted was VERY UNREALISTIC as was the damage.

Yeah, I fired a 50 twice when I first went on holiday in the US. This guy handles the recoil of the 50 like I handled the recoil of the AR-15 with 5.56. Also, the 50 is stupid powerful. I had my mouth open when firing my 2nd shot, and it literally sucked the moisture from my mouth after I fired.

But yeah, the 50 was really done an injustice in this depiction. Just another note of how powerful the 50 is: I fired in prone and the blast caused a visible "wave" to blow down my clothes, it's that powerful. It's the smoke (or lack of) and noise that makes this one seem less powerful. It should have way more smoke blasting out from the muzzle, less recoil to the sides and more "back", and a heck of a louder boom.

I enjoy the recoil of the M82 more than most less powerful calibers, because it doesnt kick like a horse, its more like a push. 60 rounds within a day with our old training rifle "Ssg69" and my shoulder hurts like hell. 60 Rounds with the M82 and the only thing I feel is a pressure behind my eyes

Okay, 3 MAJOR things wrong with this. 1 - That glass isn't bulletproof, it's a normal windshield, so those 5.56 rounds would sail clean through it (Guarantee you M855 is coming out of the barrel of those M4's, AKA - LAP (Light Armor Piercing) ) 2 - There's a *SLIGHT* chance that a 5.56 would glance off of that glass, it's happened before, but it is EXTREMELY rare that it happens. 3 - This dude just shrugged off a .50 Caliber like it's nothing, if that was real life, his organs would be pooling in his stomach in the form of blood and chunks of meat.
