In fairness, Bluepoint is a company that exists solely to create faithful remasters. See Shadow of the Colossus as well. And they made the first Souls game ever to run smoothly without performance issues, so I think leaving From out of things was a good idea.

Nope Fromsoftware is the god of gaming industry. Miyazaki even worked on this to make sure they won't screw up the remake

And yeah im sure Miyazaki was involved to some extent but i doubt it was so he could "prevent them from screwing it up". It wouldve been fine either way

There's a big difference getting a brand new game with new ideas and worlds to run perfectly and getting a remake of an old game using the original code to run perfectly on new hardware.

Yeah, once I figured out how the World Tendency system worked, I always went back to the Nexus and jumped off the high ledge to revert back to Soul Form immediately after I beat a boss. The Dragon Bone Smasher and the Bramdt were totally worth it.

@@PP-iq7co I plan to one day, whenever I can afford a PS5 (preferably after the price goes down or Sony comes out with a more advanced/cheaper model like the PS4 Slim). I swear, AAA gaming's alienating the middle-class more and more every console generation. Someday, only the upper class or flat out rich will be able to afford it, which may be great for the publishers & corporations in charge of the studios/developers but sucks for gamers as a market.

Yeah, love the different characters start instead of the everyone is the same in beginning. The cold opener ensures that you are established as a charcter who lives in this world. The importance of decisions depends on your origin. Actions have consequences not on a simple morality bar. Your companions can drop out. You can only get some class powers by doing some really dark stuff.

2:16 I for one blame the Dragon Quest franchise for that. The quagmire cave, which is surrounded by poison swamps appeared in all three of the Erdrick Trilogy games and poison swamps have been a staple of the franchise ever since.
