I had a fantastic time in Bosnia, such a special country, thanks to our exceptional tour guide Vekas from Bosnian Tours. He tailored the tour to match our preferences, and his commitment made sure we got the most out of our visit and the country, something that's not common among guides in Bosnia. We explored around 15 different locations in a short span of time. If you're thinking about your next vacation, I strongly suggest considering a trip to Bosnia.

We really liked Sarajevo. Especially the East meets West aspect as you mentioned. Plus the food was incredible. Unfortunately it was cold and snowy while we were there in February so we will have to visit again in the summer. Mostar in 2021 and perhaps 2020 is unique due to how empty the city is. Seeing the Stari Most with out people was unexpected.

Too bad you didn't mention the small forgotten town of Stolac, which has a beautiful medieval town on a hill, the Daorson archeological site where the walls are 3000 years old ... the beautiful banks of the river Bregava ... stone tombstones ...
@libertas5005 Жыл бұрын
I went to Stolac last summer and it was underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, all the things you mentioned are nice to see, but the town itself is ridden with trash and abandoned buildings. I think people in Stolac need to do much more to make their place pretty and accessible for tourism. Like, for example, the most important Bosnian heritage site - the Radimlja tombstones - are right next to a freaking car wreck disposal yard. The Stolac Bus station that is literally at the entrance of the town, looks like a post-apocalyptic site ridden with graffiti and trash. Etc etc... The only actually nice place is the little stream inside the old town but it's also ridden with cars and you can't enjoy it because of idiots with motorcycles making noise etc... Basically, it's an unregulated mess which can ALL be regulated and made amazing, if it weren't for people who just don't seem to care about their own town.
@johanesgo8096 Жыл бұрын

Did you know that Bosnia has a pyramid? It doesn't look like one at first sight, but below in the ground if you go trough the one of the most healthiest tunnels in world based off the quality of the air, the tunnels are weirdly connected to the 'pyramid' and the more you look into the story, the story gets even more crazier. And the most confusing part to me is that the location is just 30 min ride from Sarajevo so I was surprised when I saw that u didn't visited it. Definitely is worth checking out.

@Hakuna Matata It's called bureaucracy and in 2018 Bosnia ranked 156 out of 161 countries tested on bureaucracy efficiency. To start a business u don't need a lot of money but u need a lot of time to spend days and days waiting for whole bunch of papers that never arrive in time. It's frustrating and foreign investors usually quit before they finish the project.

For turists BiH ist great becouse its affordable for them, but for the lokal people it is realy not a great country. Many people , anyone who knows a littlebit German , goes to Germany to work.The average income in BiH is 500Euro or under, so that many struggle for living. The life in BiH ist very hard. Ther are small or none benefits.The Childsupport for Newborns is 25 Euro or less per Month and if you have a car you dont get it. Everything here is old exept the shopping centers an the new apartmen buildings that have horrible quality and we have a huge problem with corruption. So yes the nature is great but every Country is in this way beautyful but in comparison to other Countries living , politics , standards and lifequality in BiH are not great at all.
