We took this train two years ago! This video popped up right after I just watched our old video lol. If you go back, please go to Kibe Mahala. We stayed next to it for a little over a month and ate almost every day.

Part of why we live abroad is because it tends to be SO much cheaper than home (with the exception of western Europe this summer lol 💰🔥 )!!! If you ever want an affordable trip, Eastern Europe is a great combo of culture, cost, and ease!

I took this train last year. Absolutely packed with tourists, many had to stand. It was a beautiful ride, but we didn't get to enjoy it.

That is surprising!! I wonder why it was so crowded - we went in the summer so you would expect it to be much busier... although maybe it was a bit too hot and kept people away? It was nearly 40 our entire stay in Mostar

Hello, I only have 5 days to enjoy Bosnia, I have decided to spend 2 nights in Sarajevo and 2 nights in Mostar, can you tell me where to buy the train tickets? My last day in Mostar I would have to return to Sarajevo to go to the airport and I am worried about the train schedules to get there on time.

Hi!! We ended up buying them directly from the train station!! I think if you are worried about the schedule, it may be worth it to book a taxi just in case!

Of course!! We didn’t try to pay with Euros, their currency is the Mark. They took our credit card at the newer places and we just pulled Marks from the local ATMs as needed! :)

I’m not sure if they also had elevators, I don’t remember seeing any! You may be able to find out more on a google search though. If not, private transfers are quite affordable there.

Hi! I am not sure about trains, I don't think Croatia has many options, but I do know that many buses run between Croatia and Bosnia though - that is what we did! Hope that helps! :)

I can't quite remember the exact bus, it ran from Mostar to Dubrovnik. Then from Mostar you can catch the train! There are *tons* of tourist buses that do that particular route though because it is a popular day trip from Dubrovnik. I think you can just show up, but it's recommended to book earlier if you can find one online (or even in person) because it's a very popular route. Private cars also drive tourists across the borders too, we paid I think around $20USD to go from Montenegro to Dubrovnik when we had to backtrack.

Last year, in the summer months the train to Sarajevo left from the port city in Ploče in Croatia. There is no way to know whether that will be the case again this Summer. Consult the websites of the Croatian railways (HŽPP) and railways of Bosnia-Herzegovina (ŽFBH).

We thought doing 2 solid hours of train ride would be boring… lots of tunnels, changes in lighting, shaking… wasn’t exactly easy to film. 🙈 Plus advice on cost, purchasing tickets, seating… But if you don’t like it you’re entirely welcome and able to make your own video on it. Lol

War kürzlich dort, habe Gefühl gehabt das ich in Saudi Arabien bin, man kann kaum noch ein 🍺 oder glas Wein 🍷 trinken, habe mich nicht willkommen gefühlt.Das war ein Mal multikulturell, jetzt ist ist Sarajevo ein nur noch streng muslimische Stadt.Sarajevo kenne ich seit Anfang 80er, war ganz anders, jetzt war das letztes mal für mich dort.Habe Tuzla entdeckt, viel besser für mich.Sarajevo ist für nicht strenge Moslems nicht zum empfehlen.
