Kbands wouldn't be considered idols without FTIsland and Hongki. They were really the band that brought bands to general audiences in Korea. They were the first band to have hits on the radio and then Hongki hosted a radio show and frequently showcased other bands and really let them shine. I have so much respect for FTIsland. I would highly recommend doing an FNC band live video with FTIsland, CNBlue the two real pioneers of Kbands and then their dongsaengs N.Flying. If you really want to see vocal talents and real performers you have to see their concert footage! It's everywhere on youtube and they are so freaking good!

Agree!!! I was blessed with the opportunity to meet N.Flying and see them perform live last year. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. They are incredibly passionate, professional, and gifted performers. It's my dream to see FTISLAND and CNBLUE one day!

24:10 Students born in the '90s, especially boys, had to sing FTISLAND regardless of their singing skills when they went to norebang(karaoke). It was the same for me. The reason why he shouted "Sing it" at 24:10 can be seen by translating the words 02:51. He asked the viewers of this Killing Voice video to sing along if they knew the song. The lyrics he doesn't sing can be seen as a concession to the viewers so they can sing together.

Also, some parts belong to the other members and for some reason they didn't invite them. Other parts are on the track, not sang by him live. I guess someone has to be familiar with his music to watch it. I really dislike the paid reactions. They are forced somehow. Without anyone reacting, he has 4m views. It is the charm of our Hongstar.

If you check he was only allowed songs from the albums produced and written by fnc. None of their songs made it except for two pray and take me now. It would be good to see paradise or black chocolate or memory etc... maybe there will be a part 2.

FTISLAND had such a difficult journey genre wise. They debuted with powerfull ballads, moved on to the pop rockish songs, then started a war with the company to be able tp produce their own music and had a hard rock phase rioting against their old discography gaining new fans with that genre and now they are confused because they have fans who love their different stages and a company who still pressures them tp do generic ballads. However, their last album is such a great one. They are finally excited about music again and are doing what they love. Very inspiring ❤ Thanks for the rection!!!

FTIsland has been popular since their debut in 2007. Their debut song is like evergreen song of Korea still charting for 17 years. All the songs in this killing voice are very popular as well. They are the FIRST korean idol band so that we have CNblue, Nflying, Day6.

FTISLAND originally has 5 members. Sadly, 2 guitarists left the band on 2019. Right now the member are : Lee Hong Gi (Vocal), Lee Jaejin (Bassist/2nd Vocal/Rapper), Choi Min Hwan (Drummer). And Thanks God, they still Rock and So Good! I recommend you to watch their live performance and concert. They are perfect example of K-Band. They can do many music genre. They also do their own music, write their own song, composs the song, etc.

I really hope you look a bit further into these guys - you honestly sound like you dismiss simply because you’d never heard of them before-. Hong-ki is the best vocalist in Korean music today. FT Island has always been superior because they play their own instruments, and Hong-ki and Jaejin both could be lead vocalists.

Thank you for reacting to this. Lee Hong Gi is one of the best vocal out there, and FT Island has touched various kind of genre, though rock has always been their palette. I like how he also carries the song like how he usually perform on stage here, but that does not do the justice for the facts that he actually singing most most of those parts, including the ones you hear on the playback. He’s a seasoned performer, aside of his good vocal, I suggest you check out other FT Island full song videos, and also live videos where he perform with the band and audience as well, then you’ll see the wholesomeness of ‘em.

As a Korean listener's pov, there is a main pop(ular) rock boy band line up : Buzz(2000)-FTisland(2007)-CNblue(2010)-Day6(2015) These bands are considered as based on rock but also boy group at the same time. Of course there are a tons of K-rock band but these guys share similar target audience on different timeline. (The Most popular)

Lee Hongki is the main singer of FTisland, he sings the whole songs and some other members just do a few adlibs, I think the reason why he didn’t sing some parts it’s because the high notes and he haven’t been singing in a while, he just wanted to protect his voice because he usually doesn’t have any problems singing it

I really love that the 2nd gen artist are finally getting the attention they deserve! I wish he would have sung Don't Love, which is the first k pop song I actually learned all the words too. Thank God I have it on my Asian Songs List I started way back when I first got into k pop coz when I put it in search box and looked for it under group name and English name I could not find it. Could be because they never made an official MV for the song. The one I have was a fan made video. It was a great video that fit the song well! Eng & Viet/ FT Island, Dont Love. May be able to find it like that. I haven't tried it that way I just go to my playlist to find it and listen!

oh nice, thank you for reacting to ft island!! so they debuted in 2007 and they're awesome, hongki is an amazing singer! a few band members have left the group so now there's 3 members. hongki has always been the main vocalist. their bassist jaejin gets some lines to sing. tbh the parts that hongki didn't sing here are actually his lines but i think he just wanted a break from singing here and there throughout this lol. i wish killing voice incorporated band members playing instruments. would have been nice to include their bassist and drummer and they could also sing some lines! oh well. anyway, i recommend watching their music video for Sage! and also their song Unthinkable from 2021 is really nice, i wish they included it in their medley. would be awesome if you react to more ft island ^^ ty for your time!

His range is one of the hardest to reach. His voice is extremely strong and has a unique and special tone that makes his voice unforgettable. Many had tried to reach his abilities and couldn't... so yeah even though I'm not a fan I can say he is one of the best singers in Korea.... btw ofc it is necessary to make a special differentiation between Saram and Sarang otherwise would be very hard to distinguish between them

Actually, I would like to recommend you to watch one of FT Island's performing concert. They held such a great power, as someone who had been to their concerts, it was phenomenal. Moreover, as you can see the first album was released in 2007, that meant he has been singing like this for about 17 years now. It's not easy for the band to keep going this long, but their potential proved it. If some rapping sounded weird to you, because he was not the one who raps, there is another member in the band who raps, but since he came alone, he did it all. lol

He’s the one singing everything. Unlike day6 they are most like a conventional band where they have the frontman (Lee hongki) who does the singing with the other members focused on their instruments. They do have another vocalist but he rarely sings verses he mostly does the backing vocals. But the main top line and the adlibs are all him. The songs are just vocally taxing which I think he chooses to sing some parts over others to not strain his voice too much. That’s how he does it during concerts too by interacting and involving the audience. I would love for you to check out more of their stuff after all they’ve been through I hope more people support the remaining 3 members 💕💕

Hong Ki is my top K-vocalist. His soulful powerful raspy clear vocals is uniquely amazing & his clear diction too. FT Island's leader/producer/song writer usually do this songs base on Hong Ki's vocal range. Sometimes Hong Ki joke around that their leader love to torture him coz mostly of their songs only Hong Ki can sing. It's like Hong Ki doing a highest note challenge on himself eveytime they released songs, but Hong Ki sometimes mention he's kinda sad coz he can do falsettos. Anyways looking forward for more Hong Ki RVs. 😊 PS. Check out FT island's WIND preferably the live version. I think that's his highest vocal range song. It's one of my all time fave song from them including Severely & Love Confession.

As a fan of KPOP since 2013, I gotta say that KPOP boy band is really on a different level than the other KPOP groups especially the original big3 of KPOP boy band (FT Island, CNBLUE, N.FLYING). Among them, FT ISLAND was known for their rock ballad genre and their vocalist Lee Hongki is one of KPOP's best singer ever. Nowadays, we have so many talented boy band such as The Rose, DAY6, Xordinary Heroes. There's also a new rising girl band called QWER whose song is currently doing well on Korea music charts.

He's with a band and they actually play instruments, versus most boy groups nowadays. I love them (FTIsland) and CNBlue, another band from the same time, same agency. And Lee Hong Ki is also a great actor! He always plays such endearing roles. He was Jeremy in You're Beautiful, and the leader of CNBlue was also in the drama. One of my favs from way back. The two of them together are just on another level.

He sings most the part of the lyrics in the songs and there's another sub vocalist in the band yes but with the song"Pray", probably it have very high and strong vocal on the chorus part, so I think he didn't want to try give all out of it cause there's more song he need to sing after. However, despite all that part which I also wish he could sing the higher notes, but do look into some of his concert/live performances videos cause he did give all out on those and his vocal is amazing 🙏🏻 He's one of the best vocalist in Korea I can say 🫶🏻
