After Beast left Cube...Cube wouldn't let them have their name so they renamed themselves "Highlight" which was the name of their last album as Beast. They are extremely talented and also pretty funny as you can tell here. They like to goof around but they are extremely professional at the same time!

In my 20+ years kpop journey ''Fiction''is still my top pick song esp the live performance with the symphony orchestra. B2ST/Higlight is that group that you don't stan but would know all the title even b-side songs for long time kpop fans. They are also very popular with korean general public.Before BTOB/EXO, B2ST was the group which all members can sing/rap/dance; the live vocal monsters. This was the first time Dingo invited a kpop group to Killing voice and it was so huge that they started inviting other kpop groups, too. Before it was mainly soloists and vocal groups and no one expected kpop groups to be on killing voice.

wow wow, exactly!! that's the one I really really wants to say about!! Highlight was the FIRST male idol group. After Highlight's killing voice was loved and became very popular and famous, Dingo continued this trend by recruiting other male idol groups. right, this was the most I really want to say to all😭

Yes they were 6 and became 4, from left to right (it's also from oldest to youngest): Doojoon (Leader and rapper), Yoseob (Main Vocalist), Gikwang (as u already guessed😂, he the Main Dancer, and the Lead vocalist), Dongwoon (Maknae, vocalist and rapper), I recommand u watch their showterview with Jessi (it's one of the funniest eps I've ever seen)

@@ArturttleistZuh For Hyunseung (who left in 2016), it was said due to disagreements in musical direction, but I don't think that was the reason, it started with alleged attitude controversy. Beast had a fanmeet but he didn't attend for "personal reasons" but then he was spotted with woman in cafe. Then various videos and pictures started blowing up bc he looked "bored" or "uninterested" in members or during schedules, until he left the group. For Junhyung (who left in 2019), he was a part of the Burning Sun scandal, he admitted that (though he was not part of the group chat) he had personally received "illegal footage" from Jung Joon Young and didn’t report it. He also chose not to inform authorities about the video the first time they investigated reports about it and didn’t say anything until Burning Sun was exposed. And yeah he's dating Hyuna and she has received backlash ever since they revealed their relationship.

@@ArturttleistZuh np! actually Hyuna and Hyunseung were part of the “Troublemaker" subunit, and ppl thought it's obvious they have dated and kept it a secret. If this is indeed true, it means that Hyuna dated two guys from the same group. However, I'm really glad the four members that are left are still releasing music, and still have a good relationship with each other!

@@kpopgg3450 I'm also glad and happy seeing the 4 remaining members still making music and you can totally feel the strong bond they have! I regret stanning them this late but better late than never! Honestly I feel so proud seeing them keeping the group altogether even tho i was not a fan from the very beginning.. its just that not all groups stay together... most groups ended up disbanding and were totally not given the chance to continue as a group like B.A.P🥺(but I'm so glad bap is coming back this year!) so I'm actually really happy that's not the case for Highlight ♡

Not The End was their first release after military as well as their first release as 4 members. All of their releases since 2021 are more in that viby laidback genre: Not The End (2021), Daydream (2022) and a darker song called Alone (2022 as well), they have also announced a new comeback around March this year so we'll see what they prepared this time! Very excited as they always surprise with the direction they go in. Also they are one of the groups who sing live on music shows! Fiction is one of the kpop legendary songs, it was huge back then and got them Song of the Year (first time for a non Big 3 group). Still a bop to this day really. On Rainy Days (the song you said is very different from the others) is one of the two kpop "zombie songs", it goes up in the charts in SK again every rainy season since 2011 (the other "zombie song" is BTS' Spring Day, though Spring Day has never left the charts to begin with). One of the previous members left in 2019, the other when they were still Beast. Thankfully as they are their own CEOs since 2017 they can still continue doing music as long as they want to 😊

I'm very very thank you for your reaction of HIGHLIGHT :) They are the first group to win the grand prize of the year, even though they are not big entertainment. It war their careers that enabled the cube entertainment to grow to where it is now. I'm fan of Highlight and that makes me proud. Because they still not the end and blow in K-pop. And they are still a recognized talented group, proving themselves with their singing skills and performances. Especially YoSeop, the memeber in the middle who has curly hair in Killing Voice video, is one of the top singers among the public and idol singer. He even recorded a king in a singing program. And Gikwang who has blond hair is main dancer exactly what you prediction. It can be said that he is a member with dance and singing skill that many idols see his performance and said him as a role model. I think they are still a great group and you'll feel the same as I do, when you listen their new song this time, the name is "BODY". I really appreciate you and plz pay a lot of attention to their activities. Thank you! 💙💛💚💜

people called them "recycled group" when they debuted. (cuz everyone has debuted or almost debuted in someway) but they were so popular. every member has unique voice, visual and are super talented. and also they are hilarious as hll and super chaotic in variety shows❤ "Fiction" is one of the saddest kpop song all time.

As I know they are the First group out of BIG3 ent got grand prizes in Music awards in Korea. This record is only for them (B2ST/Highlight) and BTS just two groups. The set-list in this video, they just do a flex with legendary hit songs.

They were previously known as B2ST who debuted as a 6 member group in October 2009, under CUBE Entertainment. In April 2016, original member Jang Hyunseung left the group. Later that year, the remaining members moved to Around Us Entertainment and changed the band name to HIGHLIGHT

Thank you for trying Highlight! My ult K-pop group. The last song, Not the End, is the title track of their first album (The Blowing) after a 3-year break for military service. The MV is gorgeous - you may really enjoy. They’ve done 2 more comebacks since this, with the most recent, Alone, my favorite. And they are coming back next month - please check them out!

thank you sooo much for this reaction video!! beast/highlight and bts my two ultimate favorite groups👑💜 both groups came from small companies and managed to rise to the top. they are very similar)) at the beginning of their career they were bullied and criticized. one of the members first debuted as a solo artist, but his solo debut was quite unsuccessful.. then he debuted for the second time as a member of beast. all the members were trainees in other companies before debuting under the cube ent. one of the members almost debuted in big bang, another in 2pm, but they did not make it past the final stages of the auditions. the group was called "leftovers"/trash. they were once invited to a comedy show and the mc laughed at them, saying that one of them failed as a solo artist, and the others were not accepted/kicked out by their old companies. they were all smiling, but their eyes were filled with sadness. they truly deserve better! they`re very very talented, humble, kind and funny))💛💚💙💜 sorry for my english👐🏻

The way I see it, killing voice will always add subtitles but it just takes a loong time for it to publish. I didnt really keep track but vid that at least more than 1 year since their published date usually have subs

One of my favorite groups ever, thanks so much for your reaction to them 🫶🏻💖💖💖 Yoseob is one of my favorite kpop vocalists as well. The whole group is so charismatic and lovable!! I’m curious who your favorite groups are? :) One thing that I might request is a bit more commentary. It’s great ofc to watch it, but multiple songs pass without you adding almost anything at all. I mean this in a constructive way, I don’t mean to be rude! But it would be nice to hear your thoughts on the songs, or the members, or their voices, more spread out through the whole video and then maybe a summary at the end, rather than almost no commentary for the majority of the time. For instance a full song passes and we get “haha..I like that, left right” and then two more songs with almost no commentary and we get “nice…Fiction”. See what I mean by it not really adding much? When your thoughts are interesting and are something that could make the video a lot more engaging if they were spread out a bit more!😊 like when you actually do add your thoughts soon after that for Gikwang’s voice it’s quite interesting:) I’d love to see more of that! It doesn’t all have to be positive, just your genuine thoughts 😊 or even just comments about the interactions of members, etc. it’s always fun to see people talk about the things they enjoy ❤
