Daydreams & nightdreams. A real person and his persona, a dreamfactory + an empty theatre (Think K-pop industry, idols and fans). A sculpture who doesn't know who he is and what his purpose in life is, feels alone and are trapped in a big isolated mansion. The character is filled with ideas and longing so he cures himself with making sculptures and daydreams. It's not a romance story, it's about facing reality, being true to your self, love yourself as you are. How fans see him/his persona/both and don't see him/them is also in the story: day & night differs. Check out the rainbows at night and how the happy dancing statues turns into a mob. In the end Mr. Reality Check with a scared face comes and save him - himself. All the fake and empty statues scattered on the floor in pieces.

I speculated in the teasers that it was based on the story of pygmalion and I think this mv reflects the this. Pygmalion creates a statute of the perfect woman (as he sees it) and Aphrodite grants him his wish to bring the statute to life. Pygmalion then marries the woman. Tae adds the twist at the end where the realisation comes to him that he also is a statute created by the real V alongside the woman’s statute because we see the X mark on the side of his neck as he carved on the female statue. Boy his acting, without words he expressed the storyline with just his facial expressions. The realisation starts with him partying and all the people disappearing one by one and then facing himself and the realisation that his happy ‘life’ was not real. I see a running theme now of our duality king. Two V’s ending MV’s, first in the friend’s MV and now this mv. V vs Kim Taehyung, Tiger vs Bear, he has told us he has his stage persona V the tiger and he is Kim Taehyung the bear in his normal life. This man should act and direct movies. He really should be the creative director for the group MV’s. He’s so talented, creative and artistic. I hope he gets a chance to continue to develop his artistic visions in the future. Kim Taehyung’s Duality storyline in his own VU (V universe) - Compose Coffee, Friends and Winter Ahead…to be continued? Who knows. Only V!

Me parece que tambien puede tratar de la salud mental, y que da igual que seas un millonario, su deseo de afecto le lleva a un trastorno en que crea esculturas de él,mismo, de la chica y de las personas que aparecen en su fiesta de cumpleaños y en su mente son personas reales con las que hace lo que le gustaría hacer, hasta que algo le saca de esos trances y se da cuenta que todo está en su mente y no es real, su triste realidad es la de alguien solo y atormentado. Taehyung is giving us an allegory. The living statue of himself is V, the persona he has created, 'sculpted' for his stage performance; the person you see on stage. For those who do not know much about Park Hyo Shin, here’s a basic info about him. Park Hyo Shin is one of the best, or perhaps the best ballad singer in S.Korea. He debuted in 1999 and was highly praised for his husky style voice and hitting high notes with such a low tone voice. His highest inspiration when he was young was Luther Vandross. The control he has over his voice is incredible. Because of his extreme singing skills, many singers in Korea do not even try to attempt to sing his songs because they are all difficult to sing and most importantly difficult to show such emotions like Park Hyo Shin does. Park Hyo shin is also highly known in Korea for not singing in the same singing method but being able to show different types of styles and tones for certain songs. He was not very lucky with his previous companies. He faced lots of litigation due to them not paying him for the concert or any events. He also had to endure lots of depressions in his life that I will not mention. But he was able to withstand it all and now he is a CEO of his own company, been doing musicals such as “The Man who Laughs”, “Mozart” etc. And hopefully will be releasing his 8th album soon. Park Hyo shin is highly known for songs like “Things I can not do for you”, “Good person”, “Memories resemble love”, “Snow Flower”, “Breath” and “Wild Flower”. I highly recommend listening to his song “Wild Flower”. It is a song that tells a story about his painful and difficult past but overcoming them and bloom again. Like a wild flower.

This is a wonderful description of Taehyun’s new piece, “Winter Ahead ”! Indeed, his ability to transition through different eras and genres makes him unique in the music industry. In today’s world, it’s hard to surprise listeners, but he does it time and time again, not only creating masterpieces but also using his divine voice, unlike any other. Such music, deep and complex, inspires and raises the bar for future musicians. Tae truly deserves admiration for his talent and contribution to the music culture.

I think that there may be an aspect of autobiography in this but it is very deep. He creates a companion but that turns out not to be real. The friends at the party, initially entertaining turn out not to be friendly then he finally realises that he was also a created persona so not really real. There were many references to himself in bts songs and how he is perceived: stage/theatre black swan, the butterfly, driving a car in life goes on, the teddy bear is his emoticon. In the teaser MV, he hears running footsteps and a child’s laughter (Inner child?). He blows the candles out and then everything goes black and the realisation hits him that he is really alone and everything wasn’t what it seemed. The very grand house (BigHit?) - he should have everything he needs and yet ultimately he doesn’t have it. He’s sitting alone most of the time, passing the time, bored. He only has the sculpting to occupy him and even that isn’t real. The lyrics themselves hint at looking beyond someone’s behaviour. They give reassurance that he will always be there but he says, Come what may, Change of heart, Who can say, if you look into my eyes for the truth in my heart, from a world far apart ( his professional life, perhaps?), you’ll realise where you can find paradise, paradise. I think he’s trying to talk about what he really wants, a life that is based in reality with real support not him as some unreal persona made by someone else. I know completely delulu probably so don’t have a go at me, please. The song is beautiful, their voices are beautiful together and apart, the MV is astounding and it deserves to be seen worldwide. As of the first day release at least, it’s been promoted very little by his company or playlisted, tracks are missing off some streaming services. It’s what we have come to expect from Bighit, I’m afraid. Perhaps you can see where my delusions spring from. Love to all Tae fans, army or not but please support this song!

I picture it as Tae creating V, the persona. Him walking and dancing by himself, in the theater (the performer), walking with a teddy bear (the child in him),. And in the end, he discovers "paradise" when he finally sees his creation of V and somewhat accepts it that it's definitely a part of him. Still just my thought. Winter is Tae's favorite season and, through it all, when winter comes, he still feels wamth even in the cold because he knows he will always have his creation with him. So the girl is also a part of him, his many facets of his persona. Truly a masterpiece!

V the sculptor created an image of himself, V the statue or the sculpture. V sculptor must be projecting his own desires to live be with someone in his V statue. Or he could be a loner, seeking to live/happiness but doesn’t know how. This desire breathed life to his creation. Thus, when the V statue came to life, he also desired to be with someone and created a female statue and breathed life to her. The V sculpture lived the life, ie, going around, feeling the wind, being awed by other lives (like the butterfly), dancing, partying, celebrating, loving a girl. But that will end as he faced his creator later and realized he was not real, thus the heartbreaking sadness and acceptance in V’s eyes in the last scene. This is when you see the girl disappearing and even his face in the mirror partly turning into stone. The sculptor V is bloodied. This may represent his own brokenness, or relate to the scene where he was angry and frustrated and took such anger on his scuplture of V thus scraping that part of his face under his eye, and breaking him. It can also be theorized that when sculptor V broke the V statue, this instead gave life to the statue while the sculptor sustained the brokenness or injuries, sort of opposite effect. Or these could all just be a part of the sculptor’s dreams. Teaser 1 represents the darkness in his life. Teaser 2 is his daydream of a happier life, although it will end like any other dream, and he will go back to reality. Also the dark jacket and heavy footsteps may represent the darkness in the sculptor’s life, while the red jacket and whitish colors may symbolize life and lightness. For me there are both biblical and mythological elements in the storyline.

V may be addressing the sacrifices he has made in the past and the price of fame. The true Taehyung is shielded yet also imprisoned in a world of his making. As Taehyung, he is able to give himself permission to yearn and later experience his inner most wants and desires. However, Taehyung soon realizes that “V” belongs to the public and shows us a stark look at the demands in the life of a Kpop artist. The story is from Greek mythology. Pygmalion, played by V in this narrative, was a Cypriot sculptor who, in Ovid's Matamorphoses, pledged to remain celibate and devote himself solely to his art. In Slow dancing he creates a virtual world of friends. Here he creates himself and the girl as a sculptor. He breaks and disfigures these sculptures and feels sad about it when he meets the broken sculpture with blood. V’s idea of paradise is his longing to be with someone he can love and have a normal life and do normal things not realizing that the sculpture he made is of himself his idol life. If you see the empty stage that’s how he’s feeling. His reality is he’s an idol and idols tend to live a lonely life. Notice the contrast between the dark V (idol, lonely, structured life) vs the V who was sculpting looking happy and free. Unfortunately for him, this was all just a dream a fantasy. It’s almost a similar story to his song Friends. At the end he’s all alone.

Ok here is my theory: the v in black is the real one who is lonely and sad and want to be loved so he sculpture the lady he desired and she came to life at the same time he also created he himself with the exact mark which he have (v in black dress) and been happy with her and he (v in black) destroyed the lady's sculpture and his own sculpture and confronted him (v in red) with blood on his head and made him realise he was not real and everything disappeared when he broke the sculpture of the lady and himself so that's why he had blood and the fake one (v in red) cried, this is all insane I couldn't believe the details and meaning behind it the sculpture he created it self cried at the end realising he is not real and nothing is real and accepted it with a smile and also when he was walking on the street with a teddy bear and sitting in the theatre is the real one (v in black) and the v who was dancing on the stage is the sculpture so when the real one destroyed the sculpture he himself bleed because he created the sculpture with his personality and desires now I got it after watching for 10 times

My theory is while trying to make his sculptures, the creator Tae was lost in his own dreams/mind. He could not make the sculpture he loved the most, the female sculpture, as perfect as he wanted. But there was one sculpture he managed to make and it came to life, it was his own sculpture. So he went crazy and smashed all the other sculptures. The sculpture Tae eventually realized that he was just a copy who shared the same dreams.

Hay una escena en que se ven muchas esculturas en las que que el V solitario y atormentado trabaja, justo antes de la escena luminosa de el celebrando su cumpleaños rodeado de personas felices. Así que yo creo que es un millonario solitario que anhela el amor y que o bien imagina todo, o que tiene un trastorno de salud mental por el que cree que las esculturas q crea pueden cobrar vida y acompañarle hasta que sale de esos trances y regresa a la realidad. Por eso también hay un V feliz, q es una proyección de lo desearía ser y sentir felicidad y amor, no soledad. Y al final cuando rompe las esculturas es como si regresara a la realidad y el V de rojo primero tiene los ojos llorosas de darse cuenta de su triste realidad, y justo después la cara de él V oscuro porque en realidad son el mismo y todo está en su mente.

I feel that this mv is a reflection of his whole life as an artist.emotions of sadness, loneliness, longingness for love, companionship, search for real happiness.Some scenes reflect his works for example him being in d theater dancing, reminiscing d black swan era etc. But in d end he realized that he will always be alone n can only depend on hImself so might as well accept everything about him.
