Wow. I'm very glad nerf is doing these kits. It makes a lot of sense. I've always hated the fact that there's barely any barrels or stocks buyable today, and that the retaliator grip is the only useful attachment, so most attachment points seamed useless unless you had classic N-Strike stuff. But now that's all turned around and I am very hyped!

Agent Soshi the modulus has many more tack rails, so a lot of blasters won't have enough rails to even support more than 1 attachment.

maybe one of the coolest part of that barrel-attachment is you can put another one on it. that way you can have the better position for the frontgrip and still put on that "silencer" or the "range upgrade"

In regards to the barrel extension and the stock, I think the white and grey, with the strong prevalence of orange all over them, will make any of these attachments look just fine on any of the XD blasters, white or orange.

I love the idea of an ultimate modular blaster, but realistically, it's just a flywheel Recon. Literally, right down to the flimsy stock that holds a clip. I think the cool factor of this gun with the upgrade kits more than make up for it, however. This thing just looks FUN.

I have a theory about the colour scheme on this blaster. I think that some of the attatchments will be only Green and some Only Orange letting you build a "Spec'd" blaster Green might be range while orange might be rate of fire. if you get what i mean

well the trigger pull is a lot smoother than the stryfe, and there are lots of mechanical upgrades and it shoots a lot harder, so it is a mechanically and cosmetically improved stryfe

my good man, i must confess my opinion on the "Nerf Barrel" attatchments/upgrades. due to the fact that it adds to the barrel of the nerf gun, i find that most (if not all) if the attachable barrels will increase most of the accuracy (depending on which barrel, i have an N-strike barrel from the Target's clear series rifle) however will shorten the range of must guns when attached. this however, is just my personal opinion for it has only been tested on 3 blasters for me, but im really interested in seeing if anyone, you or your subscribers, can disagree and tell me if they have barrels that increase BOTH accuracy AND range.

I found on my modulus I use the stock from my retailator. looks better with my paint job and the newer retailator is a grey and white so it would blend nice if you don't pain it like I have

If you're interested in making another nerf weapon like what you did with The Last Word and Icebreaker, i recommend the Dominator from an anime called Psycho-Pass. It is a really cool looking pistol the police use in this anime.

Sure, flywheeled guns are loud but the firing range is pretty impressive compared to a springer. I prefer flywheelers unless u r goin night stealth in which case a springer is optimal.

As for the paint scheme, Hasbro obviously wants to make as much $$$ as possible so they made the Modulus and all of its attachments a completely new paint scheme. So if I want my attachments to match my blaster I "have" to buy the base Modulus.

Well now that it has been confirmed to just be a fancier Stryfe I will probably hold off on picking it up but the kits interest me more. The colors will suck on other blasters but if they don't have any green the white,orange,gray will probably blend fairly well with other blasters.

Michael Lintelman Carry Handle ECS 18 Supposed to be modeled like a machine gun? Need I say- Rapidstrike is Stampede with upgraded internals. It is the "spiritual" successor. The only difference is the direct plunger and the flywheel.

Yes, there are nerf clubs and tournaments, the dart-tag nerf championship is a popular one, where velcro-tipped ammo is used and there are many people who paint and modify guns, to make them much stronger. A well modified nerf gun can have, at close range, the same feeling as a entry-level airsoft would from 15m.
