In this video, Robin has shared her journey from landing in Canada as an international student to getting enrolled in the University of Alberta as a domestic student. She finished high school in India and was interested in getting admission to a Canadian university to become an engineer but because she migrated to Canada right after 12th Standard, she had to get enrolled in Columbia College.
Columbia College is an institution that provides university transfer programs, especially for international students that need certain credits to satisfy the prerequisites of Canadian universities. It is one of the best options for international students who want to migrate to Canada right after high school. After graduating from Columbia College, Robin took a break from her studies and got some work experience. This experience helped her to become a permanent resident of Canada.
Eventually, she applied to different universities as a domestic student and gained the advantage of lower fees and more scholarships. In this video, she has discussed in detail about the workload, the culture of both Columbia College and University of Alberta, life in BC as well as Alberta and other things that can be helpful for international students.
