It’s been confirmed the sound is from the jaguar . Hopefully ford will send them some audio at some point . Definitely doesn’t sound like a ford v8
@Yanogooooood6 ай бұрын
It’s insane that ford needs to send a audio file when the devs can just go to the track and get a sound clip from the pit, most race teams would love for a mic to be placed on the car in free practice to provide the sound that is needed. Fun fact ALL JAGUAR ENGINES ARE FORD ENGINES.

2 Things: 1 I think this car is one of those special Tiers where you need a (at the very least) decent setup and finesse it around the slow corners to really make it a valid choice. And considering the absolutely massive Diffusor at the Rear i tend to think that lower Wing might be the Play here due to Ground Effects probably playing a big Part. But i haven't tested enough yet to verify this. It's strengths are certainly the Top end and Brakes, paired with just eating Kerbs like it has the Star at the Front. 2. I tried to compare the Sounds from the Real Mustang GT3 and the ACC version. In the Fly By from the TV cams the sound does come close, but the Cockpit Audio still sounds pretty similar to the Jag to me

It does eat curbs but I have also learnt which ones to use with caution. Especially on throttle, when you land after the curb and don't lift a little on some curbs the car is gone instantly. I can hop those same curbs with the Porsche on full throttle without issue. (I drive both with TC1 on the Nords). And it does like to go airborne. Probably a side effect of low wing which as you correctly say seems to be the play (yesterday I tested with 3 or 4 for a while) - it reallly takes off over some curbs and also over some of the dips on thr Nords, you need to lift just a little where in other cars you just go through flat

I like the mustang. I don't know why though. I can somehow get it to turn quite a bit, especially at the red bull ring. It also looks like you're running way too much bb. You have to run nearly below 50 to get it to turn

Most setups I have seen, I have tried a few, use 48.5 on the Nords. I can trailbrake into corners nicely on it...

The sound is a little bit different to the Jaguar though. Plus you'd expect them to sound similiar since they both have ~5L high-revving NA V8's.

Use 2nd gear to slow down and 1st if straight ahead. The car has the transfer case or gearbox rear mounted to reduce weight in front and since there is direct transfer the rear is wiling to party. I took the spin and it was good at Silverstone
@cheersy22064 ай бұрын
I definitely agree with the critique about 1st and second gear. I think the car’s weakness is the slow corners and it excels in the high speed if you can control it. My best track with it is spa weirdly enough I just find I can control the car really well on there but then I go to like Silverstone or monza and I struggle a lot mainly at the fast speed stuff where I lose the rear from steering to much. I do enjoy it sometimes but it’s a middle ground between the likes of the merc/aston to the Ferrari/porsche where it’s stable at some points and flops in others
@chris89lfc156 ай бұрын
i think it's lacking on the straights, easily get overtaken by other gt3 cars even with a lowdown force setup.
@lemondigitaldesign6 ай бұрын
Try it on N24. I really enjoy it there. You don't need 6th and you need to learn to control 1st. TC0 or 1. But I've also seen a guy do 8:08 with TC5. Maybe the Nords is too different, I haven't tried it on other tracks yet. Basically I'm matching my Porsche times, just under 8:15 when I get t right, but with crazy top speed (285kph down the back straight) and very fast and stable through fast corners: Schwedenkreuz flat at almost 280, leading up tp Mutkurve up the hill at 258 and through it easily over 230 - and that's coming from a non alien. Fastest setups seem medium back wing, 4 or 5. That's gives you crazu straightline speed, Whitehead did a .25.9 on Zolder, so me must have got the car to turn :P But yeah, for a full season across all tracks it's probably not the most competitve. P.S.: Lterally just saw Cioach Dave publish a 2:15.0 on Spa - and the gear ratio seems to work well there, except up Kemmel where 5th bogs down. Killer time tho, I wonder if it's good for races with fuel, too, or just the hotlap ...

I swear the Mustang is just the jaguar re skinned with a better BOP. Back in the day the Jag useto be super fast at Zolder but then they killed once the 1st set of evolution cars came out, but the handling characteristics seem very similar.

Think Ford used to own Jaguar until 2008, so it is possible the Jag has the same engine as the Mustang
@Milano3226 ай бұрын
It’s not the same engine. The Jaguar G3 uses a version of the Jaguar AJ-V8, dating back to just before Ford’s purchase of Jaguar, prepared by Ilmor. The Mustang’s engine is a version of the Coyote, an evolution of Ford’s Modular V8 dating back to the early 90s, prepared by M-Sport.

I am hoping they fix this tc 0 bs too, because they just downgraded the game to GT Sport level with this.. I am comfortable at tc 1, tc 0 just blows the chances to lose the car out of proportions for long races.. For the first time I'm actually considering switching to iRacing because of the TC exploit..

Agree mate, sound is almost certainly from the Jag. Great to get a new car, but it appears they rushed it, and were lazy in the development. Also, it’s only available in the open series. All in all, it’s clear the devs have cut some serious corners, with this car.

It's not laziness but ford not giving all info to kunos therefore they had to copy aero info from bmw as ford didn't give that info and they didn't get sound files from ford as well so they had to get the jaguar files instead. So don't blame kunos but ford instead
