And because of that, Jaime Lannister attacked Ned Stark, which lead to his beheading in the end, which caused the whole fucking rebellion that's going on right now. shadowdancerRFW I agree in that it's a soap opera in a medieval setting. It's a soap opera that has politics, action, adventure and character development (for a lot of characters if not all). It's about differences in culture, in family values, in honor and faith. It's about growing up and learning different ways to stay alive and to stand up for oneself. The only thing I don't agree w/ you is that it definitely does not have hardcore porn. There's nudity and sex scenes but they're no where near a lot of other series. I find that in comparison to True Blood, the amount is not that high and explicit. And I agree w/ the comments above that Spartacus was definitely intense.

R+L=J was a theory for book readers about who Jon Snow's parents are. Basically it explains that Rhaegar Targaryan (son of the mad king) fell in love with Lyanna Stark (Ned's sister) and she gave birth to Jon Snow in the Tower of Joy, which was what Bran witnessed in flashbacks in season 6. This means that Jon Snow is actually the heir of the Mad King, which makes him the rightful ruler of the Iron Throne (and also means he is related to Dany). Before the show aired the most recent episode, this was all just a theory and R+L=J was a way to reference this theory. Now that the show has confirmed that Jon Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark, it basically confirms that the R+L=J theory is correct.
