Johnnythefirst what actually happened with the dinos looking worse is that for one, scientists discovered new things about how they may have looked, and the first movie introduced SGI, most of the dinos were actually automatons created by a team of hard-workers that spent nearly half the film production making the dinos. the part with the rex in the storm took a long time to shoot because every 20-40 seconds they had to stop since the rex would start getting choppy in its movements.
@Johnnythefirst10 жыл бұрын
Captain Linar Yes, I know about the feathers and stuff on the raptors. I'm not really talking about that. But even the quality of CGI shots looks better in the first movie a lot of times. the T-Rex car chasing scene for example. In the other movies (and in most other CGI-based movies) they want to do too much and the creatures look too flashy and move too unrealistically. Especially the third JP suffers badly from this (well, and from the horrendous story).

The effects in this film are better than the effects in the new one!
@PwnEveryBody10 жыл бұрын
You've misunderstood how excellent the effects were in the first movie. They were certainly excellent, and they're mostly comparable to today's movies, but certain bits (especially those that aren't CGI) are pretty bad when compared to today's effects. Just because they're good for their time doesn't mean they're better than those that are made now.
@FlyKiwi10 жыл бұрын
...have you SEEN the CGI in the new film's trailer?
@FlyKiwi10 жыл бұрын
I'm 25, I grew up with the original movie. Clearly the clips in the trailer are ready for release, otherwise they would not be in the trailer. You're never going to beat a 12 metre TRex robot with crappy CGI.
@PwnEveryBody10 жыл бұрын
LilaRose89 Robots tend to look very fake, especially when they move, and while those used for Jurassic Park were good for their time they're no exception to the rule. You grew up with the original movie, and you're obviously affected by nostalgia. That does not make the effects in the original movie better than those in the newest one. Not by a longshot. I'm 17, and I've grown up with CGI, and I can honestly tell you that the effects in older movies usually don't stand a chance against those in newer movies. Trailer footage can easily be changed, and comparing the trailer to other movies made the last few years makes it pretty obvious that the trailer footage is subject to change.

Don't you love how this movie's cgi holds up after all these years, but they can't properly render a fight between two avengers or superman's needles face?

You should have talked about the scene where the T-Rex comes out of flat terrain and then when the guy and the kids fall, there is suddenly a cliff

Thank you. Every time i watch this movie that scene annoys me.

Actually the most obvious sin ever is that a 6-ton-and-40 feet-T-Rex suddenly appearing during the final scene inside a f***ing building of a museum to kill a veciraptor thus saving the day.

ブロンディブラック Huh, I've never noticed an opening of that size.
@1vaultdweller10 жыл бұрын
ブロンディブラック It's still too small for a T-Rex to move with the legs and tail it has.

Kodamaster Harrison Ford was offered and turned down the role of Dr. Alan Grant, as he felt that the part just wasn't right for him. After seeing the film, he says that he had made the right decision.

Sam Neil has been in some pretty amazing movies that are being overlooked here, we've got John Carpenters 'In the mouth of madness' which in my opinion is incredibly underrated, then we've got the likes of Daybreakers and as mentioned Event Horizon which was gold, The Hunter wasn't too bad as well! He was also in Alcatraz the TV series and Escape Plan, alongside Swartzenegger and Stallone, he totally should have been cast as the warden though in my opinion!

You mean 1 3 and 4 right?
@arbiter111718 жыл бұрын
If it's a trilogy there's only a 1, 2 and 3. If there was a fourth, it would have to be a quadrilogy, and if there wasn't a third, then the 4th would be the 3rd. So, no. It isn't 1 2 and 4.
