horaciosi It's a reference to Arrested Development. The actress when they say "Her?" is the same one that portrays a character in the AD series, where that phrase is a recurring joke (like most of them in the series). You definitely should watch AD.

Madrock7777 Well i mean they killed off Bill Pullman, one of the greatest movie presidents of all time so that sucks. They also killed Will Smith's wife from the first movie, who was a stripper then but a doctor now so ok. Then there was that crazy scientist who's useless lab assistant got killed. He was the only one who got a memorable death scene which is wrong considering the others who died. The African warlord was just out of place in there, idk why they randomly added him since he didn't do much to further the plot. The story tried to focus on Will Smith's son and Liam Hemsworth but the movie had so many characters, the scenes were unevenly divided that it was hard for me to care about any of them. Also the EMP from the last movie wasn't even brought up so what the hell?

CH4S Eh i honestly didn't like it at all. Too many characters, not enough scenes among them to make me care about them all, there's also the way they killed some of the good characters. I know that it's their way of passing on the torch but they didn't do it right. I almost wish they don't make a third one.

Well, back during 1996, it's just few years after Soviet Union collapsed, USA was the greatest super power back then. And it's make sense as USA has the largest air force (and still do). But in all honesty, only super powers countries have significant contribution, like Russia, China, USA; all other smaller countries are basically almost non-factor.

One thing I've noted is that in all these movie versions of alien invasions, the FIRST nation to be assaulted is the one with a military so formidable, and equipped with state of the art technology so advanced, that that nation has a chance of pounding the aliens into the dirt. You never see the aliens begin their assault of the Earth on Bolivia or Latvia or Turkmenistan, for example.
