There's pretty strict rules about overtime and night filming when using minors in movies, so a lot of studios will use older actors to play high schoolers if they think they can get away with it. I'm so used to it now it's jarring to see real high school age kids in movies.

MissOrsa nah, we have about 30% Muslims/Punjabi/Hindus, 33% Caucasian people then 14% are black people, 11% are Asian people. The other 12% are the other ethnicities. I only know this because they had a statistic online on the school but they’ve now stooped it,

I remember being mortified at how accurate that movie was to my experience of going to public school in 7th grade after homeschooling my whole life.... Not the whole thing, but the central conflict of the "popular" girls wanting to control and "educate" the poor, sheltered, awkward kid and viciously punishing any missteps with ostracization....
