I found it weird for The Rock to not have Shazam be in the Black Adam movie post credit scene. I don't mind him bringing back Henry Cavill Superman to the big screen and prepare for a fight, but to keep Black Adam far apart from Shazam was a weird move on his part. Black Adam is the reverse flash of Shazam!!! WHY keep him away from Black Adam? I think this all comes down to The Rock's big ego, as it feels like he didn't want to be a side character. I also think Achara gave great advice to The Rock: "These days there's no standalone superhero film. Everything is connected to something else, so you have to be prepared to share the limelight or whatever."

I think it boils down to town. He wanted Black Adam to be darker and Shazam wouldn’t have meshed with it…but they ended up giving Black Adam the same tone anyway.

The movie made it seem like Mary Marvel had the wisdom of Solomon. It's like when Billy bestowed powers to his adoptive family, each one of them might've had one primary trait that was stronger than the others; for Mary it was Solomon's wisdom.

They _always_ do that with superhero movies though. Have a giant superpower fight in the middle of a city, crash through tons of high-rise office blocks and then absolutely _no_ explanation or reference to the fates of the poor officer workers inside are made. Like, _just once_ I would love it if either the superhero or hell even the _bad guy_ would go "hold on, fighting in the city is probably a bad idea, let's take it to that _giant desert_ over there so we can _really_ unleash our true power!" Like come on Hollywood - the Mojave isn't _that_ far away from L.A!!

I thought the movie was ok, but not as good as the first. It needed better writing, and to be less of a generic superhero movie. Also, it particularly suffered from the covid era delays as the kids in the cast aged up visibly.

i feel like there was a lot left behind on chopping desk and a lot that should have been chopped off was left in the movie. i feel like the director went goofy asf. he tried to keep the essence of first movie so much so that he forgot to keep his audience engaged into it. there were tonnes of times when i was watching this movie in theater i wanted to just pause and stroll around and then come back. i do that when i feel that movie is boring.
