The thing with Murray is exactly poking fun at the fact that they don't really have time to make a sensible justification for the already pretty nonsensical stuff that's going on, so his answer to Daffy Duck is basically breaking the 4th wall and go "just roll with it". Would have been weirder to try and justify it in any logical way. Same about stuff like the doping scene, they're exactly joking about having MJ not behave like a typical role model should. Like, half the movie, he's the butt of the joke (all those baseball scenes). Also in the soundtrack should have mentioned "Hit 'em high".

Lebron is a much better actor than Jordan, but I'm wondering how they make the plot work for a Space Jam 2 for two reasons: 1. Lebron isn't retired. Jordan's brief stint in baseball was actually an ideal premise for the Monstars not stealing his talent. I don't know what kind of plot device they've got in mind to exclude Lebron from a talent-stealing. 2. Despite the fact that Lebron appears to be a better human being than Jordan, the public perception of him is still very unfavorable compared to Jordan. "The Decision" made Lebron a villain, and to a lot of people, he still is. You don't make that guy the hero of a movie. Everybody loved Jordan (when he wasn't actively on the court beating your team).

I don't know. I saw the film when I was 11 and it just never grew on me. And it's not against Looney Tunes. I still watch those even as an adult. I don't think one should excuse a film because it's "made for kids." There have been plenty of great films for kids like Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, E.T., and the original Star Wars. The filmmaking in them is incredibly strong, and all films should aspire to be the best they can be. All you do when you say "it's made for kids" is group all children's films into a category of bad movies.

Larry Johnson was a 2 time all-star, 1 time NBA second team and that's it. He was CLEARLY second tier. Ewing was no MVP, no All-NBA first team. Robinson, Shaq and Hakeem were better centers. He was second tier too
