theguyinblue2 Kids will love it because it's a "scary" movie that their parents will let them watch (better not be rated r but it's warner bros so yeah), there will be lots of reviews of it too, probably from a lot of the same people doing let's plays of the game. Might be popular among teenagers too but I expect that the tension won't translate well enough into a movie (since dying won't make a person start any of their progress over) for them to be impressed. Especially teenagers that have parents that let them see movies that are rated r. Never been a fan of horror myself so I don't have much to compare to, but I've heard people are enjoying something called the Walking Dead, that seems like it would be hard to top by FNaF, though I've been a bit surprised by FNaF's reception by teenagers in the past so I could be wrong. But yeah, I was a bit surprised by the Critic's bewilderment about Lola. And yeah, it worked for more people than would probably care to admit. Well, kids anyway. But I guess that is his point.

He rants about how the film presents Lola Bunny as a "sex symbol", with one complaint in particular addressing her "bunny boobies". Well I really like this movie, I saw it about 2 weeks ago and I still love it but... here is one thing. First of all I'm not american so I never knew about all commercialism and shit. Also in the translation, michael doesn't sound as dull, in the latin american dub he sounds with actual emotion also the looney voices as classic as ever. Another thing is that they never say McDonalds and all these brands, they just say burguers so that's some other good point. The part of the end... the basketball game is sooooooo fraking awesome for me... it's the best!! About the guy who appears in the end... I didn't have any idea of who he was and event today I don't have any idea of who he is, he is just a random guy that appears. About Lola Bunny.... yes... she is a sex symbol... I don't like furry at all but I'm sure there is people who likes it but another thing is.... Bugs looks like a person too most looney toons looks like persons. Antropromporfic animals simple as that and what are the characteristics of females? Eyelashes, their waist and hips and boobs. Thats's simply it. Even disney in their classic movies do that. The cats even though they look like cats have eyelashes and a somewhat "bulky" "chest" so... it was normal for a bunny girl to look like that. I like the movie this is my opinion and my point of view. My counter-review of this review or something like that xD

I had one of the most awkward dreams recently that Kath Soucie the voice actress came into this store I was working at and asked me about some item we had in stock. She's super sweet and nice and I'm all nervous and sweaty being around her, and even when I clear my throat and try to act and talk all hard and manly, she giggles and says I'm really cute.

@mohamed zayan Given my history with older females, especially ones older than both my parents, it’s a very strong emotion. I sent Ms. Soucie some flowers at AVO Talent in Los Angeles for her birthday a couple weeks ago as a token of my great appreciation for her. I just hope she was able to pick them up. About a week later, I had another dream that I was at a birthday party for her, and when we bring out the cake and sing Happy Birthday to her, she gets all shy and bashful about it.

As a little child i loved this movie, and growing up i never really questioned that -or thought about it too much.....until i actually watched it as an adult a couple of years ago! I was initially eager to rewatch it after all these years, but very soon i got genuinely SHOCKED with how unfunny and awful it actually was! :/ I always thought that, even as a child, i had a good taste in movies/cartoons...until Space jam and......wait fot it......Batman&Robin. Oh MY God!!! In my defence i was very-very young when i watched them. Still embarrassing.

My theory as to why Bill Murray is in this is that he was in the area that day and heard they were making a loony tunes and Micheal Jordan movie so he snuck into the costume department, put on a toon squad uniform and just barged on stage and they decided to just write him into the script from there

To be honest, I did like Space Jam as a kid. But, like most things I liked as a kid, it does have some problems looking back on it. It is still a decent movie, but I do still realize it wasn't what I recalled it being. Also it's probably the main reason I'm a furry so there's that.

"I love basketball"…that's something he never really expressed afterward. I mean yeah he grew up in Jordan-era Chicago but you and Rob seem more like hockey guys more than any other sport…am I just not paying attention enough?
@theprooblem6 жыл бұрын
I have the same feeling. I remember that in a commentary episode (maybe a Siblings rivalry) Doug wasn't able to recall the name of the Air Jordans and Rob burst out saying that was inconceivable because he grew up in Jordan-era Chicago. Because of that and a few other basketball related inaccuracies that Doug made over the years I got to think that basketball hasn't had a big impact on him. And this is somehow a big deal considering that he was right there when one of the greatest sport stories ever happened took place.
@Justmyhandle8 жыл бұрын
Even if the story made no sense, and Lola was admittedly a sex symbol (Not the first character to be controversial), I still found Space Jam funny and enjoyable. While I have come to notice the bad acting and disturbing moments, I don't think it was promoting bestiality or ruining childhoods. It was just a big, silly mess that kids watched because... IT'S BUGS FREAKIN' BUNNY. It was also the first live action Looney Toons movie, which was exciting for many at the time, including me. In the end, Space Jam earned its place as both one of the weirdest animated films of all time and, ironically, the highest grossing Basketball film to date.
@Bluk34dewnxt38 жыл бұрын
+Zach Pearce If they can do anything in their universe (stretching limbs, surviving explosions, etc.) then, other than it not being the "Looney Tune way", why didn't they just comedically beat up the aliens and send them packing? I mean, hell, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, and Marvin the Martian try to kill the other characters on a daily basis. The chance that your entire race will be enslaved by some creepy aliens should elicit some type of angry response. I just think it'd make more sense than, "I challenge you to a game that neither of us have every played forcing us to bring in a human who has less power in our world than we do." Other than that I fucking love this movie, dood!
@southsidesaiyan86412 жыл бұрын
Who framed roger rabbit came out first, and was a live action blended with animation movie with Warner bros and Disney characters.
@Justmyhandle2 жыл бұрын
@@southsidesaiyan8641 That's true, credit where credit's due. But Roger Rabbit wasn't technically a "Looney Tunes" movie, nor was it advertised as one (Not saying you claimed or implied that, just pointing it out). It had characters from that universe in it, but they weren't the focus and are given very little screen-time from what I remember. Space Jam was marketed and sold as the first major theatrical Looney Tunes experience, with Michael Jordan's star power at the time enhancing said marketing value. The plot may revolve first and foremost around Jordan's basketball career, but it's still a Looney Tunes movie even if the film doesn't open on them. That's rather obvious from the get-go. Jordan's story was only ever a vehicle through which to follow their narrative + an excuse to incorporate the basketball iconography for celebrity value. Even in the original Nike crossover commercials from which Space Jam's concept originated, Bugs was more of a draw to most kids on average than Air Jordan (because, again, it's Bugs freakin' Bunny). The difference in quality also contributed to its impact, as no prior Warner Bros. production had put this much effort into animating these characters for the big screen. Roger's animation was good for its time, but this was far and away the best the Tunes had ever looked up to that point. Put it this way: You could have Roger Rabbit without the Tunes. You could cut them out entirely if you wanted, and the core story would still work overall. That's not true for the Space Jam films, as the overwhelming majority of kids and parents who saw them came for the characters more so than Jordan or James (I myself didn't even know who Jordan was back then, but I knew most of the Looney Tunes).
