+Paul Ramos it's easier to do things with a cartoon. You can space them out over many episodes and get further into character backgrounds while you only have a good 2 hours for a movie. Of course cartoons will be "more respectful" because they can do more. There are no limitations with a cartoon. I don't know why people always do that when comparing cartoons and movies. Cartoons will always be closer to source material.

Oh the nostalgia. "You left him behind, soldier boy!!!" -Wolverine to Cyclops after one of his 'apparent' best friends, Morph, was left to die in battle against Sentinels. Shortly after that Wolverine proceeded to chop the top half of Cyclops' car off with his claws, then told Jubilee to relay the message that he made Cyclops a convertible xD. 90's Wolverine was a fun guy.

Maybe we could learn something from listening to this Honest Trailers. It is quite interesting that an animated series made so many years ago is better than many (if not all) of the more modern, liveaction works. Maybe people should stop making liveaction versions of works that were drawn or animated and, if they want to remake them and bring them to a more modern time, should leave them animated.
@lostielizzie8 жыл бұрын
nah it depends on who makes it not how it is made
@gimyohan95498 жыл бұрын
...You do realize it was a comic first, right? And that the movies are based on the comics, not the series?
@Gears_Starting8 жыл бұрын
Lostinind I believe you are right. However, it seems that the animated versions appear to look and be better in story and development on average seeing that the narrator dubs it better than all the movies (which are liveaction) that have been made up until now.
@Gears_Starting8 жыл бұрын
Gimyohan Yes. However, comics are drawings and animation is motion drawings. Animated works are closer to the source material, especially in character design which seems to be a big issue with many liveaction remakes. With animation, it is easier to recreate a look or image of a character and more precise on average.
@Lacidios8 жыл бұрын
Sure, the movies are based on the comics, but they are VERY loosely based on them, to the point of being more of an interpretation than an adaptation. This animated series was much closer to the original comics in overall story. It's very hard to predict what works in 3D, but if the writers and directors can't do so without mangling up character bios and timelines, then I think they should bow out and let someone else take it. You can't expect much since most comic adaptations are just cash-grabs anyway. Even the animated series tries too hard to appeal to the then current generation as shown in the video with Jubilee, "cool kid slang," and SNL memes (of all things).
