That R34 custom is going to be awesome bro! Great discussion, and a sore spot for some. On any given morning that I stop by to hunt, there are at least two to three people already in the aisles doing the card creep as I call it. Great castings are often passed up in search of the “valuable” chase pieces. I guess for my two cents, they are only valuable because we make them that way. I’m so glad that people avoid Majorette and Matchbox in favor of other brand castings…more for me!! I have come to realize that a super is a regular Hot Wheels with fancy paint, and premium chases are a recolor…nothing more. It has some to the point where hunting feels dirty…like a weird vibe every time. Retailers are fed up with the lot of us, even those of us just looking for cars we love. To them, we are all scalpers and are an annoyance. I think the high end premium route is the way to go. No scalping, just buying what you love from the co fort of your own home. Less gas, less frustration and more joy in the collecting. Just my thoughts.

The Penzoil custom looks great. The Acsellerators metal card backs are cool, I haveCorvette C8 one, didn’t know they started doing other cars now.

Calais is Pronounced CAL LAY! The word was used on some GM models here in America back in 70s-90s. I think a Cadillac or maybe an OLDs used the moniker too if I remember correctly.

Love the chat! On another note, does anyone know if a 1/64 4-door Hako in existence? 1972 specifically. I think makers are missing out big time. Especially as a nice "custom". Skyline Mikey comes to mind via IG. His Skyline is WILD.
