1954 Buick 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour "Steering Wheel Construction"

The boys at Honest Charley Garage picked up this 1954 Buick as an unfinished project car. They've started work on the car to get it ready for Corky Coker to drive on the 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour.
Jonathan puts the finishing touches on the wood steering wheel.

Love the wheel, I'm going to try this a little differently for my MGB but I'm going to make a wood chrome wood sandwich style for mine with flush rivits for a more early look. Thanks your vid has been most informative.

How can I tell if a steering wheel is bent? What is a goodway to check it, it it looks close to straight ,but not sure?
