Is there a time that every one who lives in the house is at home? That might be the best time to make a list of age appropriate jobs and set a 30 minute timer for a tidy up. It wouldn’t be perfect but it would be better and that would put you in a better place to go in for the deep cleaning. It’s a life skill that the kids will need later. I applaud you for wanting your kids to be kids. So many have to go through unimaginable situations and have to grow up before they should but since you have your nieces you know that too! ❤

Heather, I'll tell you a story real quick. Back in 2009 I had a car accident and broke my right foot. Within a week, my dad comes home at lunch one day with a 6 pack of beers and says, "Whelp, I got laid off, I'm gonna cry in my beer now." Turns out that my dad had maxed out his pay grade and just a few months short of having medical coverage with his retirement he was laid off because, just like you said, it was cheaper to pay 2 new guys than it was to keep my dad. 33 years he'd been with that company (longer than I'd been alive at the time). Luckily, since the accident had happened before he was laid off the insurance still covered everything doctor wise. Unluckily my folks had prepared to refinance their mortgage that same afternoon dad came home so the paperwork was no longer valid. Within the next month they ended up selling the house, moving to New Mexico where dad decided to retire to, and I ended up living with my sister to finish out college. Sounds like transition is brewing in your future. While I'm glad you're trying to stay positive (which is good) don't be afraid to cry, or if need be Chris cry, because when the rug is proverbially jerked out from underneath you like that, it can really wallop you. Staying strong is okay, but don't ignore or bottle up the rest of it. You're right that it will all come out right in the end, but in the in-between, know that we're here for you and Chris. ps. I guess 42 wrappers

My sweet friend, I am more grateful for you than I could ever say. I appreciate that you've been with not only me but my family for so many years now. Through so many changes already... Thank you for sharing your story with me, it gives me hope that while things might change or (like you said) the rug might get ripped out from under us but we'll figure it out. I do have a tendency to bottle things up and not really give myself the chance to feel things so I'll try to remind myself it's okay to be sad. We've kind of switched into super penny pinching mode and at the grocery store we were shopping discounts... Chris said, "Wow, you're really good at this" and I said, "Well, I grew up dirt poor lol, this is kind of right up my alley!" Change is good they say... 💕🥰 Thank you Dallas, I'm thankful for you! ps. It's a little more than that but you're closer than I was! 🤣

I’m guessing 23 wrappers😂 Might be too many but you never know😃 I always try to declutter my kids room whenever I get the chance but I’m always so busy so often I just give them a couple of trash bags and tell them to throw out everything they don’t need and it’s really effective!

Oh don’t be embarrassed. I always say..”Labor Day or Memorial Day” never sure…lol. I am the same as you. I try so hard to be positive no matter what. It is hard sometimes for me to show emotions. I do have them,I just don’t like to live in them. Now what do you do with a 50 dollar paper turtle?? 😂 Things will work out,they always do when we put in the effort. Your doing great! The bee battle…😂
@HonestHomemaking3 ай бұрын
Thank you Tracy! I also often have a hard time processing unhappy emotions. I like the way you put that… that you have them you just don’t live in them. That’s a good fit for me too, I try to push past and get on with things. Someone suggested hanging the turtle from the ceiling lol. Maybe I can turn it into a light? 🤣 thank you for being here friend 🥰
