Well done Heather. You are absolutely right that it's not about perfection, just making it better than it was! 😅 Be that as it may, still looks pretty darn good! 💪👏👏👏

Oh girl I feel that! I am so tired at the end of the day,can’t wait for bed…then when I do the “meeting of the brain” begins. It is ridiculous. That is so nice that your husband is your best friend. I totally understand that. I lost the king of my world on may 19th of this year TOTALLY unexpected. We were together for ten years. Never had one disagreement. He was my best friend. We laughed,loved,played,talked. He was a wonderful man. Your doing such a great job and I just love how positive you are. Thank you….

You did so well Heather! I think you' ll maybe need less scrubbing if you let the trash can soak in some warm wet rags with soap. And maybe put a hot bowl of soapy water inside, like you would clean the microwave. That helps for me

Thank you friend! 🥰 That's a fantastic idea, I'll have to try that next time!

My trash can started eating our floor, so I picked up the furniture pads that go on the bottom of furniture legs and cut it to fit the parts that were cutting into the floor and needed a buffer. I saw them at Dollar Tree the other day. You could put them on the black part at the top of the back of the garbage can. Did that make sense or did that just confuse you? And Riley is 13?!?! Whoa! All of your kiddos are all growing up so much! Great job on the garbage can, wall, and cabinets! It’s such an overlooked project in everyone’s home. Ugh.

I like the look of a trash can in a dedicated pull out kitchen cabinet. But then I think about how difficult THAT would be to clean & keep clean. You said previously that you & Chris have made your bedroom in your basement. We have an unfinished basement but it stays too cold to use. I remember years ago that your basement got flooded.
@HonestHomemaking3 ай бұрын
@@teresaminick1169 I LOVE having the trash can hidden in a cabinet. At Chris’ grandmas she had that and it was lovely! But I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to take it apart and scrub it down. It’s hard enough as it is. 😭 Our basement does get pretty chilly in the winters but a few years ago Chris put in new drain lines so it hasn’t flooded again. I’m thinking this winter we may need a heated blanket 😜

Morning Heather❤ My trash cans the same right now😅 I take the garbage out every day and there’s always a bag in there(We use Hefty trash bags so there can’t be holes) but there’s always so much grime! It’s so frustrating!

It astounds me how it gets so caked up 🤦🏻♀️ but it really feels good to get it cleaned up! I think half the time the kids end up smashing the bag down into the can 🤣 thanks for watching friend! 🥰

I wash my bins in the bath with the shower,I give them a really good soak in bleach water leave until I remember that their in the bath 🤭lol,then rinse, dry and put back in place,my son only ever needed 4 hours sleep per night,he likes to read so I made sure he had a selection each night, even now at 36 yrs old he only needs 4/5 hours sleep per night,and he's 6ft 3, doesn't matter how old you were,my Mum had my older sister at 17yrs ,and had 4 kids under 5 by the time I arrived when my Mum was 22yrs,most of my family had teen pregnancies, nothing to be ashamed about at what age you become a Mum for the first time ❤
@HonestHomemaking3 ай бұрын
@@carolinecox6686 I might try the shower next time. I think the hot water would have worked a lot better than the cold water from the hose. I feel like I need at least 8 hours of sleep but most nights only get about 4-5 also. I actually credit becoming a mother so young with what kept me from falling into drugs like the rest of my siblings. It gave me something else to focus on and knowing I had a little baby depending on me for survival. 🥰❤️
