Bryers had a flavor (discontinued due to a bad shortage in the early 2000's) Chocolate Banana Chunk. It was Banana Ice Cream with Chocolate chunks that also had banana in them. They brought it back as a limited edition flavor years later but never as a mainstay and I still miss it.

I know it's not ice cream but I share your pain with having my favorite flavor of something no longer existing. A few years back there was this Oreo flavor, Salted Caramel Brownie, that was topped with salt. I've yet to find a flavor or Oreo that I like even remotely as close. I've tasted my perfect oreo cookie, and now it's gone.

+1 for Tillamook. I'm slightly biased since I was born in Oregon and my parents both grew up there, but it's definitely my favorite national brand. It's so soft and creamy and I never have to warm up the scoop to scoop it out.

For ice cream flavors, I second Tilamook’s peach ice cream. It has little chunks of peach in it and it’s so good, while still feeling light. I recently tried target’s icecream, specifically a blueberry cheesecake flavor that I really enjoyed; that one was a bit heavier though. Would not eat if already fairly full. Another flavor I’ve had that’s a good light ice cream I’ve tried is earl grey tea ice cream. I haven’t seen tubs I can get or anything, but I highly recommend trying if you see it somewhere!

Turkey Hill's coffee flavor used to be my family and I's favorite but we haven't been able to find it for over a year at this point. Recently I've gotten the Haagen Dazs coffee almond toffee crunch bars, which are very good! Problem is they only come in packs of 3. I should pick up some more ice cream next time I go grocery shopping

My favorite ice cream is by Perry's, and it's called Tuxedo. It's a three-flavor one, and the flavors are vanilla, french roast coffee, and dark chocolate. It improves upon everything I like about normal Neapolitan, and takes out the only part I didn't care for, the strawberry flavor in lieu of the french roast coffee, and it's just a very pleasant experience, fully recommend

Theres this one ice cream thats the Kroger store brand. It's blueberry pomegranate with chocolate chunks in it. I make my own ice cream now but that one was crazy good.

Tillamook ice cream is on sale here in Southern Oregon at Winco for $2.98 so I’m heading there tomorrow to get some half gallons. I like vanilla bean so that’s one I’ll get. I usually buy Umpqua ice cream but it’s $7.49.

Just catching up on vlogs. So, I know you said not to suggest Graeters but, just so you're aware, they do ship Pints nationwide. It's 80 bucks for 6 pints (and 120 for 12) but still, the option is there. Otherwise, Husdonville has become my new go-to brand on Ice Cream. Most of their flavors are good but they're Strawberry is great and they have a Peach Raspberry Swirl that is making my mouth water right now.

Blue Bell had an ice cream flavor last summer (2023) that I absolutely adored- it was a Pink Lemonade flavor that was strawberry ice cream with some small bits of lemon flavor- dunno if it was sherbet or like candy flakes. They've since discontinued it but I still think about it every day

I'm a big fan of the cookie butter ice cream from Trader Joe's. I gotta warn ya, though: the cookie butter is more like solid cookie chunks, and those chunks are pretty big. Expect the scoops to come out weird-looking sometimes.

Yeah as a suggestion, Blue Bell is always my favorite for just good solid flavours. For fancier novelty ice cream, other brands have more options, but Blue Bell is the best for any default flavours (Butterpecan is a good one, or mint chocolate chip)

They make Twix-flavored ice cream that comes in pints, and it's actually caramel-flavored ice cream with cookie bits in it. It's the only caramel-flavored ice cream I've ever had and it's really great. It's definitely improved by the cookie bits, but just the flavor of the ice cream itself is pretty special.

Stephen, I'm gonna be quick on my Ice Cream recommendation cause I almost always default to this flavor. If you're gonna get a half gallon of ice cream, Publix brand cookie dough is always a delight. It also pairs well with most toppings and syrups. I also recommend any Greenwise Ice Cream for those who want an organic variant. edit: This "quick" response wasn't very quick now was it.

Stephen, I just want you to know, I know how it is with the Coffee Ice Cream thing. I'm on Spectrum and there's a LOT of things I'm like "I want this" "We have (this but with extra steps)" "Thank you but no I want this." There's a... a mental roadblock, or perhaps at times we know that we want a specific EXPERIENCE, rather than a specific flavor or what have you. And that's what We're talking about. Man, I love when Dairy Queens get to have regional or even store-exclusive food. One of the Dairy Queens in my area makes its own fresh, hot cheese cup that's a blend of 3 cheeses, I believe, and I'm honestly sad it's not available at all Dairy Queens. If I'm getting a big tub it's either French Vanilla or Moose Tracks, but if I'm getting a pint or so I grab Haagen Daz Dulce de Leche or Blue Bunny Bunny Tracks, on the other hand the ice cream currently in my freezer is Root Beer Float Pops.
