I have a PX4 Storm in .40SW. The rotating barrel helps a lot with that one. A very underrated pistol.
@JacksonWalter7354 жыл бұрын
I agree. Most flatshooting or low recoil guns that I've shot tend to have the tilting barrel designs or a small slide (looking at you CZ). The rotating barrel, low muzzle flip, and large slides make the PX4 Storm the best of both worlds for me. It's sacrilegious to say but I like the PX4 Storm over the Beretta 92. I'm hoping Beretta makes a steel frame version of the PX4 in the future.

I have had the full size in 40 S&W now for about two years and have run 2,000 rounds through her without a single stoppage, using all types of ammo including lots of hand loads. I replaced the decocker levers with the stealth levers and converted to decock only. Changed the stock hammer spring with the Langdon #12 lb silicone, D/A pull is very smooth, crisp and clean. The most accurate and reliable pistol I own. Absolutely love this pistol. I got it brand new at a deal that I couldn't pass up' and was the only reason that I bought it. Lets face it, it's an odd looking pistol but fell in love with her at our first dance. This is the ugly duckling that could, and does flawlessly.
@Eric4bz2 жыл бұрын
Compact, slick to hold, accurate, and VERY stable recoil. Everything I personally love when it comes to firearms. Only thing I don't understand is why people say it's ugly. It's very slick and isn't a block like the Glock.

There's a Beretta PX4 Storm model JXC9GEL collaboration with Ernest Langdon. It has lower profile controls, some incredible sights installed, and a lighter trigger. It's a 'G' model (decocker only). It's the Cadillac of the PX4 Storm pistols.

Ernest knows Berettas better than I think Beretta does. I had a Storm compact that I did all of the LTT goodies, and I have yet to find a DA/SA pistol that was better, or easier to shoot. The man is a Jedi!

Immensely underrated gun! I carry a PX4 Compact Carry everyday AIWB with a D hammer spring and OEM flush hammer. I also have a langdon edition fullsize that I shoot in competition. The OEM support from beretta is fantastic (trigger kits, springs, mags, sights, etc.). The gun shoots incredibly soft and is incredibly reliable. I have been hounding beretta to put the APX grip texture on it though. If they made a smaller single stack version, I'd eat that up as well.
@82lowe36id6 жыл бұрын
I agree with the OEM parts. I really like that about Beretta! Really want to get my hands on a compact and spend some time with it to compare with my CZ P07. I am actually afraid I will find the PX4 is better!

The PX4 Storm is on my bucket list to own. I had originally wanted a Beretta 92 but after holding one and then the PX4 Storm, the latter just felt much better in my hands. This damn Covid kicked in and people went nuts buying up all the firearms (and TP) that when I was able to afford it I could never find one and ended up with a H&K VP9SK. Love the PX4 storm its my favorite gun. I only bought it because it was the only one left at the gun store. Due to the riots we are having and the failure of our mayors and governors to protect law abiding citizens everyone is buying guns. At first I was hesitant because it was the only one left. But i figured my mayor Garcetti is citing with rioters what choice do I have something is better than nothing. Boy was I surprised when I took it out to shoot. Its an awesome gun. I love it. One of my favorites. I'm waiting on a second one.

I think you're gonna like this gun a lot down the line, you should look into the carry upgrades that Ernest Langdon help proliferate for the platform. I could easily see you adding some kind of stippling or grip tape to it down the line, the stock texture is probably one of the guns biggest weakspots.

For a 17 year old model, it sure looks like it holds its own. That's one fast semi-auto. I think it looks better than the 92. Looks like what a 1911 could have morphed into. Just looks like a classic gun. Nothing like a Glock brick.

I’ve shot the PX4 Storm again this year (last time was around my mid 20s and 34 y/o now). All I can say is that I should’ve held it better back then. Now I’m VERY ACCURATE with this. Only thing I still don’t like about this is the long DA trigger pull and the wide grip, taking me extra time to fix my grip (at least my hands are big to the point it really isn’t difficult to grasp). I love the look of this and this is why I chose to rent it in my mid 20s.

I got the compact version of this gun over a year ago and it's my baby....a NICE shooting gun. Eventually want to get the full-size. I wouldn't bother with the sub-compact since it doesn't have the rotating barrel. I think you'll like this gun a lot. I also got a Tanfaglio Witness based off a few of your videos and I LOVE that thing. It's right next to my PX4.

I have owned a PX4 for years, and I really do like it. I don't think it recoils that much less than a tilting barrel setup(that I could tell) but to me It does have noticeably less muzzle flip.

I've got a LTT Compact Carry and a full size 9MM and love them both. I've done a few upgrades to the full size to get it closer the the Compact Carry. In my opinion the Compact Carry is about the best CC gun on the market. I own Glocks, Walthers, CZ, Ruger and more and I daily carry the PX4 CC.

If you like the gun, check out Beretta's factory options for Px4. I got the competition trigger group and D-spring for about $80-90 on sale recently. You will like it, I promise! I'll probably change out decocker lever, and opt for low profile slide lock. Already changed mag release button as well. Langdon has install videos up on Px4 trigger group.

I own the sub-compact. Its my every day carry. A little heavy but a great trigger , very dependable and it holds 12 rounds plus one in the tube. It will remain at my side for these reasons. Will be purchasing another in 45 acp.. Thanks for the review on a very under rated firearm.
@sethrad86264 жыл бұрын
Did you ever look at the PX4 Compact Carry...so that you could get the benefit of the rotating barrel? I believe that the barrel is 0/2” longer on the Compact Carry...and the grip a bit longer as well.
@larryzackeroff98894 жыл бұрын
Sethrad. Not long ago I purchased the full size in 45acp. Your are correct about the barrel. I cannot believe how smooth the firearm handles the recoil. The rotating barrel is a outstanding feature. Try the 45acp yourself. Again I state the gun does not get the reviews it deserves.
