I’m rarely writing these type of comments but I couldn’t resist! First of all I’ve been watching some videos of yours for a couple years already and I still can’t believe what I just watched! After all those years you really doubt if Ariana is singing live, more than a decade in the industry, hundreds of concerts and live performances and you still suspect something that is not there! When will people understand that it’s either she’s singing LIVE or she doesn’t perform at all! And second of all please people (not just you) educate yourself before spreading FALSE/HARMFUL information online! The song is not about a real situation, it was inspired by her leaked song “fantasize” which was really loved by her fans and because this song was not meant for her and doesn’t fit into the album she decided to give the fans what they want and made her version of this leaked song, so there could be a “bad girl anthem” on the record! Not to mention all the allegations towards her love life and the whole situation were proven wrong! Sorry for writing that much, as I said I’m usually not into writing comments like that but for some reason this video pissed me off! With all my respect! She's just basically making a song abt the stories ppl r making abt her, since the last song before this one in her album, (eternal sunshine) True story, talks about a true story of ppl making untrue events of her life and mixing it up tp make her seem to be the "bad guy" even though she's not, there's a lyric in the song saying "I'll play the villian if you need me too, I know how these go yeah" and that's what she did in The Boy is mine song after. Hey, I just wanted to add onto your commentary… Page Six (who spread the affair allegation about Ariana) had been under fire for spreading false information before. They said, for example, that Taylor Swift had an abortion. Page Six has always been this insensitive and invasive, because it turns out that they also spread the rumor 14 years ago when Ariana was still a teenager that she had fallen out with her therapist because “she was too diva.” Ariana, in her recent interview with Podcrushed, asserted that not only was that untrue but she is still working with that very therapist to this day! So yeah, perhaps let’s not feed into the hysteria and media attention… it’s often very unfair for female artists in the music industry.

Before you reacted to this song you should've listened to the whole album, and the first AND second single and maybe look at those lyrics. Maybe then you would be following what's happening throughout the album. His (still) wife never said that, although there are some fake tweets floating around. Nothing was debunked or retracted in regards to their affair. There was one line added in an article to avoid defamation suits. Ethan and Ariana are cheaters! Idk why everyone fights it so much, I feel like the public wouldn't be so annoyed about the whole concept of the album if they stopped trying to force a narrative for PR. Old Hollywood was almost better because at least people owned their bad behavior instead of trying to gaslight the public.

Girl this song is made for the fans who loved "fantasize", a parody song made for a tv show that was leaked. She made a new song that fitted the album and was similar to the other one, it's not that deep. Also...the lyrics are pretty simple and referes to her being obsessed over a guy, where did u get the whole "stealing process" from💀

Pop princess Ari era was the worst time of her life, and she has shared that information with us so many times. She's the healthiest she's ever been and the new album reaching #1 proves that it is loved and well-received. I usually respect your reactions, but I can't help but feel that you have some sort of, like, grudge against Ari? And you've only listened to one side of the album - the other side of it is full of deep, emotional songs such as we can't be friends, intro (end of the world), and imperfect for you.

I think you are so on point with the evaluation. My eldest daughter had filled me in on the details of what ariana has done with 'steeling someones man etc.and she wrote a song as about it. So this appears to be another song about it... You picked up on it very well... I also struggle to find if this was a real life performance... I was looking more towards to see if the band was actually playing anything and I don't think they are to be honest... The song is kinda boring with some good bits in it as well. And I'm glad you picked up on the fact that this is got parts of an old 90s song called the boy is mine by brandie i think .. very good 👍

love your videos sm, just wanted to give full context to the song, on the tracklist before this song plays "True Story" which has the lyrics "ill play the villain if you need me to" "ill be the bad girl if you need me to, if it makes you feel better". Then "The Boy Is Mine" plays and this is Ariana playing the fictional role of "the villain" "the bad girl" , and the public loved her leaked song "fantasize" which also has the same undertones as "the boy is mine". The album "Eternal Sunshine" is a concept album and not based off Arianas real life, I can completely understand how you came to your conclusion because of the media LOVING these stories of women being "not a girls girl" but the rumours of Ariana have been fully debunked and if you would like these sources I am happy to send the information. One small thing that's wrong with your comment is that ES IS based off Ari's life. Most of the tracks on ES were written by her and are extremely personal to her, the album addresses the divorce and also the pain of moving forward. Songs like true story and the boy is mine are the only ones that are fictional, the rest of the album is very much truthful to her feelings.
